The latter 8 cm diameter. Provenance: From a local private collection.

A Chinese 18th Century porcelain imari jar of rounded ovoid form, the heavily potted vessel depicting qilin and phoenix in flight, the underglazed blue enamels, picked out with iron-red and gilt, lacking cover, height 22cm. There is quite significant scratching to the surface and body with pitting and kiln dust pick-up. There is old glue residue to the rim to suggest the lid (which is no longer present) was previously stuck down.
A Chinese blue and white porcelain tea canister, of hexagonal form, the exterior sides with flowering lotus, surmounted by a fitted cover, height 11cm. There is chipping to the underside of the lid and a firing line to the base. Both pieces have kiln dust pick-up and pitting. The lid has glue or sellotape residue.
