A Chinese porcelain octagonal Goose charger, Yongzheng (1722-1735), centrally decorated with a goose amidst peony sprays, all within an extensive cell-diaper segmented surround against pink and turquoise grounds, 29cm wide, with two similarly decorated 18th century plates, 23cm diameter (3) (at fault) CONDITION REPORTThe Goose charger shows rubbing to the gilt highlights, surface scratching, losses to the central floral decoration (extensive to the left hand flower) and minor glazing faults. The piece is very dirty, and some dirt has become ingrained in some of the surface scratches.Both plates show firing pits and frits to the top and bottom surfaces. One shows a triangular loss to the rim approximately 1cm wide.

The charger shows a loss to the lower edge approximately 12cm wide, and a crude repair to the right edge approximately 8cm wide with a 5mm loss within this repair.

There is a further vertical hairline crack approximately 3cm long 4.5cm further round the rim. The rim shows chips and nibbles at various points around the circumference. There are odd firing pits and frits across the piece, some with associated glazing faults.

Further loose sections of the base have been held in place by a material that might be plasticine. The piece shows surface wear and fine surface scratching throughout. The interior shows further wear and staining.
