Eleven pieces of Chinese export and other blue and white porcelain. (11) CONDITION REPORT: A good selection of porcelain, 18th and late 19th century. The lot comprises - A pair of small blue and white vases height 9cm good condition. Rice bowl of non uniform shape, rim chip and repair, diameter 13.5cm, looks like cargo china, a small vase similar height 5cm in good condition with tiny crumb chip. Long shaped oblong plate width 33.5cm. Circular blue and white plate design width 23.3cm, tiny rim chip with plate hanger. Oblong blue and white trough with reticulated sides, good condition and showing great age length 23cm. Two small dishes with light gilding and swag design continental china with some repair. Two further plates / shallow bowls, export china, tiny rough edges to the shaped dish where it has been on a metal hanger but otherwise both good. All items are un-marked.
A c.1900 Japanese Satsuma enamel decorated koro and cover (cover af), height 16cm, a pair of Japanese Kutani salts, a Noritake tripod box and cover, a Chinese blue and white dish, two further porcelain dishes and a modern Chinese bowl (8). CONDITION REPORT: Dish with figures - 2 x chips to rim and several nibbles to foot rim. 2 slight nibbles to blue and white saucer. Finial to koro is at fault.
A late 18th century Chinese porcelain vase painted in iron red and en grisaille with women at work in a court scene, height 36cm (several nibbles to rim). CONDITION REPORT: Several nibbles around whole rim, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
An 18th century Chinese porcelain blue and white decorated sparrow beak jug with loop handle (hairline), height 11cm. CONDITION REPORT: Hairline approx 1 inch to the right of the spout, there is a slight crack to the handle, the finial to the cover has been restored, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of chips, cracks or restoration.
An 18th/19th century Chinese porcelain figure of an official wearing elaborate headdress and robe, painted in enamels with six dragons amongst clouds on a red ground, height 28.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a small section to the reverse of his cloak missing approx 1cm x 0.5cm, there is also the tip of part of the headdress missing approx 5mm, some light surface wear elsewhere and some firing flaws to the base, also a flaw to the moulding to the sleeve of his right arm. There are also traces of something in holes in his chin, nose and beside his ears which now have the remnants remaining.
Three Chinese onyx and gilt metal mounted items including a pair of twin handled urns and a similar bowl, all on stepped bases, boxed, pair of enamel decorated vases, an onyx gilt metal mounted bowl on stand, a green glass and metal mounted bowl and cover and a cloisonne plate, Chinese figure of a girl with right hand raised aloft, an unusual plate decorated with a flower and a porcelain basket of flowers (11).
Porseleinen waterdruppelaar in de vorm van een open lotusbloem. Aan weerszijden bedekt met blaadjes in diverse vormen, in rose emaille met zwart afgelijnd. De groene stengel diende als druppelaar en heeft in Chinese `encre de chine` karakters de tekst: `souvenier voor de herfst-manoeuvres bij het Tai meer in Anhui provincie in het 34ste jaar van de Guangxu regering (1908) in de Qing-dynastie`. Afm. 17 x 9 cm. Schenktuit gelijmd, twee kleine retouches aan emaille. Stel porseleinen rolwagen vaasjes met boven- en onderaan een zgn. Mille fleurs decor centraal rondom een doorlopende natuurscene met een paar kwartels op een chrysant-rots. Gemerkt met zegelmerk van Qianlong. China, post Hongxian, ca. 1930. H. 22 cm. A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE HANDLED PORCELAIN VASE A Chinese Famille Rose enameled and hand painted handled phoenix tail form vase. Two figural bat handles to neck over lotus blossom and scrolled vine design with red ground. Landscape floral scene to body. Holds red archaic Jiaqing reign marks to bottom. Measures 9 7/8" height x 5 1/4" diameter (25cm x 13.3cm). Total weight of 791 grams.
CHINESE PORCELAIN INCENSE BURNER LAMP Antique Chinese hand painted enameled porcelain lamp depicting two peacocks and flowering dogwood branches. Has fitted wooden base. Has interlocking snakes knot carved bone finial. Incense burner not including mount and lamp measures 6" height x 5" width x 2 3/8" depth (15.2cm x 12.7cm x 6cm). Total weight of 1.32 kilograms.
A Chinese porcelain barrel shaped garden seat decorated in underglaze blue with peacocks amidst floral sprays, the sides with pierced roundels and nodules, all within Arabesque decorated borders, 48 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear, scuffs and dirt. Some chips. Large old vertical hairline crack to side. Various firing blemishes. Some losses to decoration - including one of the applied nodules broken off and missing.
A late 19th / early 20th Century Chinese porcelain lobed circular bowl, the interior decorated in underglaze blue depicting a pagoda with figures on a bank and bridge with rowing boat in the foreground in a landscape, within alternate shaped panels of landscapes and floral branches within decorated borders, the exterior sides undecorated, unmarked, 25 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS Overall some general wear and scuffs, large chip missing from the rim, plus some small frits and chips, small crack to foot rim. The bowl is potted/glazed with a fairly textured finish (please see photos). Please note that exterior sides are glazed but are undecorated.
A 19th Century Chinese porcelain charger decorated in underglaze blue with flower heads linked by floral scrolls within chequer-banded borders, the exterior sides with three shaped batwing and floral scroll motifs, bearing six painted character marks to base, 37 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear and scuffs, large shallow chip to rim which has been fillered and coloured, some firing faults and firing blemishes, some small firing cracks and stilt marks.
