Height 20cm, diameter 15.5cm, a similar smaller jar, height 9.5cm, width 10.5cm and a Chinese famille verte ginger jar, circa 1900, with four character Kangxi mark, height 21cm, width 16cm. (3)Smallest jar has hairline crack to lip. Otherwise good condition
Twelve Chinese famille rose porcelain tea bowls and saucers, 19th century. Decorated with crabs and others with leafy vines, diameter of saucer 13.5cm. Height of tea bowl 6cm, diameter of tea bowl 8.5cm. (24)This set is in good condition. One plate has two nibbles from the edge and another plate has a 1cm hairline crack. Two of the cups also have small hairline cracks with another cup having a nibble from the lip. Please see additional images.

With later wooden stand and cover, with bronze finial, decorated with figures in a landscape, height of porcelain vase 26.5cm, width 18.5cm.From the estate of Edward Leslie Costigan.Edward Costigan was born in London in 1939. He and his whole family were evacuated to St. Just in West Cornwall, where he spent his early years.He was educated at the Humphrey Davy Grammar School in Penzance where he won a scholarship to study English Literature at Magdalen College, Oxford through the Violet Vaughan Morgan national competition. He became a Professor after his degree, and taught both in the UK and in Europe. He went on to teach for the British Council in Africa, Canada and Japan.His interests were in film, music and architecture, and he travelled widely. He learned Japanese and particularly enjoyed walking in the mountains of Japan.Upon his retirement he returned to Cornwall, setting up home in Sancreed, West Penwith, where he continued walking and cycling until becoming ill. A Chinese blue and white prunus pattern porcelain bottle vase, 18th century. Each cartouche filled with a table of precious objects, height 35cm, width 16cm.Damaged and repaired. Large crack/repair running around the one half of the body. The body has probably been in half as I can see the crack/repair running across the base.

Height 3.8cm, diameter 7.5cm, a Chinese famille rose porcelain tea bowl and saucer, 19th century, height of bowl 3.5cm, diameter 7.5cm, saucer diameter 11.5cm. (4)Two tea bowls have a rim chip. One has a glaze blemish and hairline crack to the base. Another has a chip and hairline crack. The dish is in good condition but possibly small chips to the foot.
A pair of Chinese blue and copper red porcelain snuff bottles, 19th century. Each painted with a red dragon pursuing the flaming pearl amongst leaves and flowerheads, height 8cm, diameter 3.5cm. (2)This is the first of a collection of Chinese snuff bottles from a family based in Devon, England . The majority of these bottles were collected by the vendors great, great grandmother as a young girl whilst living in Shanghai. She returned to live in England in the 19th century.one bottle has three chips to the foot. See images.
A near pair of Chinese blue and white porcelain dragon and phoenix snuff bottles. Qing Dynasty, 19th century, the cylindrical body painted with a contorted five-claw dragon amongst clouds, six character mark of Kangxi but later, heights 8.5cm and 8cm. (2)some small staining and minor nibbles.
A pair of Chinese blue and white porcelain dragon snuff bottles, Qing Dynasty, 19th century. Of moon flask shape with fo dog mask and ring handles, each painted with two contorted four-claw dragon amongst clouds, six character mark of Chenghua but later, height 7cm, width 7cm. (2)Both have glaze chips to the necks. The lug handles also have glaze chips. No cracks.
A superb pair of Chinese famille rose porcelain vases, late Qing/Republic period. With opposed oval panels enclosing painted figures in a landscape, armed warriors and garden pavilions, each with a pair of moulded bat handles, the body decorated with scrolling tendrils and chrysanthemum, blue Qianlong character mark, height 35.5cm, diameter 23cm, each with a Chinese hardwood circular stand, stand height 45.5cm, diameter 33cm. (4)Drilled base, the small hole situated through the mark in the centre of the base. No other damages.
