A CHINESE PORCELAIN DRAGON CENSER AND COVER, FANG DING of archaic form, the pierced cover surmounted by a qilin and painted with waves, emblems and the eight trigrams, the flared sides finely painted with dragons and pearls above waves extending to the four slightly incurved legs, the flat rim with a band of key fret, 21.5cm h, mark and period of Wanli Cover - crest on the finial slightly chipped. Tiny abrasions around the rim. Censor lacking both of the lugs from the rim, long hairline crack, small reglued surface chip on the lower side with small loss, the adjacent leg broken off and fairly cleanly glued back into position, no professional restoration
