This dish is probably from the same period.’Condition ReportUV light inspected. No restoration. Very short hair line to rim, at 2 o'clock. Another glaze line above scholar seated on island looking out to sea. A few burst air bubbles to rim. Otherwise a very nice example of this early Kangxi period.PLEASE NOTE: The subject matter depicted is based upon an ancient Chinese proverb: 'Three laughs at Tiger Brook' which depicts three men: Huiyuan, a Buddhist Monk,  Tao Yuanming, a Confucian poet,  and Lu Xiujing, a taoist,  laughing together when arriving at Huxi of Mount Lu, representing the ideal harmonious relations of the three religions in ancient China.

A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN ’SOLDIER’ VASE AND COVER, QING DYNASTY, KANGXI PERIOD, 1662-1722Of shouldered baluster form, painted in underglaze-blue with four rectangular panels containing court ladies at leisure, engaged in painting, music and reading, within panelled floral borders, chevron bands, the shoulder with luxuriant peony blooms, the lower register with four fan-shaped panels containing landscapes, reserved against a design of butterflies, insects and flowers, the domed cover similarly painted, surmounted with a biscuit lion-dog knop (2)Height overall: 115cmCondition ReportThis soldier vase has been recently extensively restored. The restoration has been executed to a high standard, with a section of the rim-made up. There are large areas of overpainting. The cover also has significant restoration to the rim, with areas of overpainting. The lion-dog is a replacement. The extent of the repairs cannot be ascertained under UV light examination as large areas fluoresce. The upper body is overall good with no obvious faults/areas of spraying to interior . There are three marker labels inside which correlates to an area of overpainting to the exterior behind the scene of the ladies playing the Qin to the left hand side, confined to some foliage, possibly running down the panel to the lady outside the compound.Some old over-spraying around the foot, with related hairlines, with some retouching which can be seen under UV light. Although hard to ascertain exactly the extent of damage. It is likely that it could be just some consolidation of luting faults, hairlines. Firing imperfection/bubble burst to ladies punting panel, right hand side.The cover has been restored, probably in three, with a replacement lion dog. Typical frits around rims, shoulder and some minor staining.Vase 2UV light inspected. with two drilled holes in the base. Some fluorescence along luting lines but doesn’t appear to be restored to upper body. Small three pointed star crack to shoulder interior, not visible to exterior.Base with one hole visible. No over spraying to exterior. Firing fault to shoulder. Section of rim re-stuck in two pieces, frits and 3cm scale chip to interior of rim, with associated short hairline confined to the rim.The cover with four small areas of the rim over-sprayed. Minor restoration to original lion dog. A 19th Century Chinese famille rose porcelain oil lamp, the reservoir with bands of foliate and floral decoration, the main body decorated with birds on blossoming branches by stream and fence on a turquoise ground decorated in pinks and greens with bats amongst scrolling foliage and script 30 cm high CONDITION REPORTS The top collar has been painted differently to the rest - see images for details under UV. Also there appears to be possibly a small repair, again visible under UV to the main body but nothing majorly visible to the naked eye. Large firing crack to the base of the oil reservoir as well as other firing faults and chips to the underside of the rim. Otherwise losses to the enamel work throughout, surface scratches etc. Wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for more details

A Meiji Period Japanese Satsuma ware vase decorated with figural panels amongst stylised honeycomb ground, raised on a circular foot, 15.6 cm high, a Chinese turquoise glazed porcelain figure of an eagle, 24 cm high, two carved agate figures of fish, a verdigris patinated miniature figure of a prancing horse, 12.5 cm high (damaged at base), three various wooden vase stands, a gilt bronze vase stand and a modern Chinese blue and white box of square form CONDITION REPORTS Agate pieces - two fish with damage to the end of one of the leaves at each end. There is the sign of glue to the base suggesting that it may have been originally placed on a stand, the same as the other small fish, at some point. Smaller fish with some chipping around the tail - see images for further detail. The three wooden stands only: one has been broken and re-glued badly and is also missing its stretcher/under tier (the largest of the three). The other two - both have general wear and tear to include some scuffing and discolouration to the varnish etc. Minor scratches and knocks - see images for more details

Also has a slight dimple / bump to one area. In need of a clean. General wear and tear conducive with age and use to include firing faults, minor losses, etc. See images for further detail.
