Squat globular body leading into a tall cylindrical neck decorated with various birds, butterflies, and floral sprays. 33.5cm tall. Restoration and repair around the top part of the neck and rim. Below the repair the rest of the body in good condition.

TWO CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE EXPORT PORCELAIN MEAT DISHES, 18TH CENTURY. Each similarly decorated with buildings in a landscape scene. Qianlong period (1735-96). 33cm and 33.5cm lengths. (2) One with long 28cm hairline running into the dish from the rim. Both with minor chips and fritting to rim. No repairs.

Rounded bowl with underglaze blue and green with iron red enamel decoration or key fret band and flower balls reserved on an applied red ground. Mounted on a rococo style gilt bronze stand. Bowl 18cm diam. The bowl is restored with visible lines and overpaint in areas.

The first decorated with two pheasants perched on rock work within a floral scene, with seal mark in double ring to base; Together with another blue and white dish densely decorated with a scale pattern and stylised floral motifs. Kangxi period (1662-1722). Approx. 27.5cm diam. (2) The first with repaired section to rim with chip and fritting. The other dish with 3cm firing fault to base, no visible cracks or chips, no repairs, some wear and scratched to the exterior.

Small areas of enamel loss to decoration in places to decoration with light scratches to the exterior.

To include a pair applied with floral decoration on openwork bases; Together with a larger lobbed cup with deer, lion, dragon and phoenix. Approx. 8.5cm - 11.5cm wide. (3) One small spot of glaze loss to rim of the large cup. Otherwise in good overall condition with no noticeable cracks and no repairs.

FOUR CHINESE JAPANESE PORCELAIN PLATES, 19TH CENTURY AND LATER. Comprising: an Imari example with banded hedges and flowers within cloud shaped panels, another with carp and flower-sprays, a third painted green. red and blue and gilt with chrysanthemum, within leafy scrolls and gilt ground border, the fourth painted in underglaze blue with double scrolling dragon and flaming pearls amongst scrolls and clouds, 24cm diam. (4) Plate with chrysanthemums - cracked to rim and with spreading cracks. Plate with Imari hedges, hairline crack to border. The blue plate with dragons - three small rim chips. Overall some slight wear to enamels and gilding.

Approx. 17cm diam. (2) Both in good order with no cracks or chips and no repairs.

A CHINESE WUCAI PORCELAIN DISH, 17/18TH CENTURY. Decorated with peony blooms and foliage, with brown rim. 28cm diam. Good overall condition with no signs of damage or repair. Minor wear to enamel decoration.

Lot 2

TWO CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN KENDI, 16-18TH CENTURY. The first of typical form with floral decoration and white metal fittings to the rim and spout, Ming dynasty Wanli period (1572-1620); Together with another example decorated with phoenixes in flight in a floral ground, probably Kangxi period (1662-1722). 18.5cm and 23cm tall. The Ming Kendi with faint hairline below the metal rim with no other signs of damage. The larger Kendi with restoration around the neck upwards, and also to the tip of the spout, below the neck line in good original condition.

A LARGE CHINESE CANTON FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN VASE AND COVER, 19TH CENTURY. Of baluster form decorated with figures and birds on a floral ground, with applied gilt figures of chilong to shoulder. The domed cover similarly decorated with gilt fruit finial. Together with a carved and pierced wood display stand. Vase with cover 63cm tall. Section of the rim has been damaged and restuck. U shaped staple repair to the body. No losses. The cover with minor shallow chips to underside of rim and slight repair to tip of finial.

A FINE CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN BALSAM PEAR BOWL, DAOGUANG MARK AND PERIOD (1820-1850). Finely decorated in enamels with bamboo and leafy vines with hanging fruit and butterfly, continuing into the interior of the bowl. Six character seal mark of Daoguang in underglaze blue to base. 11cm diam.Provenance: Property of a local gentleman. Gifted as a wedding present to the vendor's parents in 1953, thence by descent. Good condition without any cracks or chips and no signs of repair. One 3mm glaze imperfection to the body near one hanging fruit.Ref: See an almost identical bowl sold at Christie's New York, 22–23 September 2022 'Important Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art' sale, LOT 1057.

A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN HU TYPE JAR. Of wide baluster form decorated with continuous chrysanthemum scrolls with key fret band around the neck. 31.5cm tall. No obvious signs of damage or repair. A few glaze imperfections to the interior rim.

A PAIR OF CHINESE IMITATION LACQUER PORCELAIN BOWLS, LATE QING OR REPUBLIC PERIOD. Blue glazed exterior carved with a band of swastika between lappets and key fret at the rim, with four gilt Shou roundels. Base and interior covered in a turquoise glaze. 11.7cm diam. (2) One with 2.5cm vertical hairline at rim which has been overpainted at rim to cover slight chip at rim. The other with a 6mm minor chip at rim which has also been filled with blue colour. Both with wear to turquoise interiors.

From the Binh Thuan Shipwreck which was carrying Chinese goods from China to Johore for the Dutch which sank off the south of Vietnam in 1608. Sticker to base no. 07895. 26cm diam. A good example with no signs of damage or repairs. Coarse grit surrounding the foot rim and exterior.
