A Chinese porcelain Butterfly Vase, the flaring neck (with damage and re-gluing to the top section) having a yellow Ruyi band above various butterflies delicately decorated in enamels and a central band depicting four gilded Shou characters amongst scrolling foliage etc., the main bulb-style base similarly decorated with butterflies and above a lappet style band, six-character mark of Guangxu and of the period, the Vase 39cm high, upon an ornate circular pierced Chinese hardwood Stand CONDITION REPORT: Good private provenance, private collector, inherited. The top of the neck of the Vase has had four pieces away and there is a small chip to the top as well, the piece has been reaffixed some years ago, the rest of the Vase looks in fairly good original condition with no other major problems noted, the enamels are fairly bright on all the butterflies and the rest of the decoration.

A 19th century Chinese porcelain Snuff Bottle of hexagonal form (broken neck and re-glued) together with one other Chinese circular example decorated with three standing figures, both Snuff Bottles have green Jade stoppers, the tallest 8.5cm, (2) CONDITION REPORT: The hexagonal Snuff Bottle has a black ring around the neck but this appears to rub off under light scraping, the rest of the Snuff Bottle looks in good honest genuine original condition. The round Snuff Bottle has some brown markings to the bottle which again appear to disappear after a light rubbing. The foot appears OK and the rest of the Bottle appears OK also.

A Chinese Hu shaped porcelain Vase (modern), the two panels decorated with a Peacock and one other open-winged bird perched upon flowering shrubs, prunus etc., the salmon ground body decorated with scrolling lotus, raised upon slightly spreading circular foot, four-character seal mark to underside, together with turned hardwood stand, the Vase 23cm CONDITION REPORT: Generally good with no major cracks, chips, damage or restoration noted.

A 19th Century Chinese porcelain Bowl, turquoise interior glaze and the exterior decorated in enamels with Buddhist emblems to each side, raised on conforming slightly spreading octagonal foot, seal mark to underside, 18.5cm wide CONDITION REPORT: There is some scratching to the surface on the right hand side near the border beside the small yet to flower head, surface scratches to some of the surface cloisonné enamel. The edge of the dish has a minor kink in it and the back of the cloisonné dish does have some splits/hairlines to the cloisonné enamel work.

A Kangxi style Chinese porcelain Vase of baluster form (cut down slightly to the top and restorations to the top area), decorated in underglaze blue with scrolling lotus against a leafy ground, six-character Kangxi reign mark to underside, probably 19th century (drill hole approx. 6cm from the foot), 30cm high CONDITION REPORT: There is a drill hole in the base where a wire has been fitted, there are surface scratches, the vase has been cut down and the top section is now missing, there are some light scratches to the underside of the piece.

An unusual pair of Chinese 19th century miniature porcelain Jars with circular covers, each Jar decorated with a profusion of figures in various guises with flags, fans etc., each Jar with concentric double-circle mark to underside, approx. 5.5cm high CONDITION REPORT: There seems to be a small firing crack on the outside of the lip which is covered by the cover on one of the vases but nothing major, there is some brown minor staining to one of the covers, one of the lids has a very minor chip around the edge, see close up images.

A large late-19th / early-20th century Chinese Canton porcelain Basin, hand-decorated in typical style in the famille rose palette, six-character mark to underside, 42cm diameter CONDITION REPORT: The piece is in generally good overall original condition with no cracks, chips, hairlines or restoration noted, the outside of the lip - the red paint is quite worn and has come off in places, also the red paint just underneath the raised lip is worn.

An early/mid-19th Century Chinese circular porcelain Planter finely decorated in relief enamels with cranes flying amongst stylised cloud etc., with four cobalt blue circular vignettes, each with a female figure in garden style surroundings, 20cm high (14cm hairline to base) CONDITION REPORT: The piece appears quite grubby and dirty with most of the marks coming off upon light cleaning, the piece appears to be in good general overall original condition save for the 14/15cm crack to the base which is mentioned in the catalogue description. The enamels appear bright and pleasing with the many Cranes flying amongst the Lingzhi fungus. The interior bottom appears stained and the crack is also visible upon interior inspection

A pair of large 19th Century Chinese Canton porcelain Vases, each with two handles modelled as Karashishi and cub and each with two applied lizards either side above vignettes decorated with exotic birds, roses and panels with figures in interior surroundings in typical style in enamels in the famille rose palette, 45cm high CONDITION REPORT: One vase with rubbing to top neck rim approx. 6cm, overall condition appears to be good with no restoration detected via u.v. lamp, minor wear to enamels commensurate with age, the vase with the Lot number on has minor chips to underside of flaring neck rim.

A 19th century Chinese porcelain Dish, central decoration of Lingzhi fungus within a lappet border and outer border with leaves surrounding four different character marks, the underside painted with four stylised bats and also with iron oxide red six-character mark to underside, 18.5cm diameter CONDITION REPORT: Bowl has wear to gilt script and gilt rim, no cracks, chips or restoration detected under u.v. light in bowl, very small foot rim chipping.

A boxed Chinese 19th century porcelain Dish hand-decorated in underglaze blue with scrolling lotus etc., 29.5cm diameter CONDITION REPORT: Good general overall original condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration noted, the Bowl appears to have some brown staining to the inside (which seems to disappear with soft gentle cleaning with water), when you run your fingers around the inside of the Bowl there are some pinhead sized glazing blemishes which are proud of the surface and are apparent, turning the Bowl over there are also further small raised areas of glaze produced during the firing process, the foot appears in very good overall original condition although once again some brown stained areas are noted. The Bowl rings nicely and is in seemingly very good overall original condition. Upon very close inspection under a glass some minor scratching is noted to glazed surface inside of Bowl and some minor discolouration etc.

A large 19th century Chinese porcelain circular Charger hand-decorated in underglaze blue with a Ruyi head band border encompassing scrolling lotus, the underside also decorated with bamboo leaves, red seal mark to underside, 41.5cm diameter CONDITION REPORT: Good general overall original condition with no cracks, chips, hairlines or restoration noted although there are several areas with scratching and scratches to glaze which are apparent upon close inspection. It is also noted that there is some brown staining and brown spotting to the bowl and that some of the cobalt blue decorative painting around the edge is stronger than other sections.

A 19th century Chinese porcelain Snuff Bottle decorated in relief with blossoms against a mid-blue ground, four-character mark to underside, cabouchon green Jade stopper, 8cm CONDITION REPORT: The stand looks in good order, the green celadon jade cabouchon stopper has what looks like a natural striation running though it (see image), the body of the main snuff bottle has some light pitting on the turquoise blue ground, the lip of the top of the bottle although dirty and some discolouration looks in good order with no reference to chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration noted. The foot rim has notable kiln dirt and also four character mark (see images).

A Chinese porcelain Bottle Vase, the unusual purple glaze with stiff plantain leaves around the neck and two elephant's heads flanking, the body delicately incised with open-winged birds (possibly phoenixes?) amongst foliage etc., 26cm high CONDITION REPORT: We think this is probably 20th Century. Appears in good general overall original condition with no repairs, cracks, chips or damage noted.

An early-19th Century Chinese porcelain Snuff Bottle, the body delicately painted in cobalt blue with a scene of hunting, one mounted figure and several figures on foot carrying the kill, with cabouchon-shaped Celadon green jade stopper, original dealer paper label to underside, 9.5cm high

A fine Chinese Republic period circular porcelain Plaque, the single bird perched delicately upon a flowering branch and within a similar enamelled border of scrolling foliage etc., in famille rose style, the circular Plaque housed within a sliding square screen and separate Stand carved in relief with bats and other similar Chinese symbols etc., the Plaque 27.5cm diameter, the Stand 48cm wide x 58cm high CONDITION REPORT: The Chinese hardwood Stand is in two pieces, it was meant to be in two pieces and the square frame around the porcelain plaque slot upright into the lower Stand. The Plaque is good general overall condition from the front angle although some of the enamels appear slightly worn upon close inspection, the Plaque is held into place by a wooden circular back plate which has several old screws holding it securely and therefore inspection of the back of the Plaque is not available although the front of the Plaque would indicate that it is in generally good overall original condition with no hairlines, chips, cracks or restorations noted. The square frame around the Plaque appears in good general overall original condition and the upright hardwood Stand is similarly so although it is noted that the rear decorative upright of the stand is now missing.

Lot 63

A circular Chinese porcelain Brush Washer, turquoise-blue ground and four-character mark to underside, 7cm diameter, together with carved Chinese hardwood stand, the five feet carved as Ruyi heads CONDITION REPORT: No chips or cracks detected under u.v. lamp, no restoration, ink stains to rim and base foot rim, (see images).

An 18th Century (probably Chinese) baluster-shaped porcelain Ewer, hand gilded and decorated in the Imari palette (spout away and re-glued at base section), 18cm high CONDITION REPORT: As evidenced by the images taken the Dish exhibits a wire where it was originally hung on a wall, the piece looks in good general overall condition and under a glass minor pinhead sized pieces of gilding to the edge of the rim are noted to be away otherwise in good general overall order. The piece is 14.5cm wide x approx. 2.5cm high Provenance:Given to us for sale by an elderly private lady vendor who inherited it from her parents many years ago.

A 19th century, Chinese porcelain, cylindrical Snuff Bottle, scrolling lotus-style decoration, small green hardstone stopper and red seal mark to underside (damage), together with one other smaller cylindrical example hand-decorated with a fisherman in a boat, the largest Bottle 7.5cm (2) CONDITION REPORT: The taller of the two Snuff Bottles has a fairly large piece away from the foot rim and re-glued and there is a chip away which is not there any more, there are remnants of an old label to the exterior of the Snuff Bottle. The smaller appears to be in good general overall original condition.

A Kangxi style Chinese porcelain ovoid shaped Vase decorated in cobalt blue with flowers/peony etc., (probably 19th/20th Century, no cover), 17.5cm high CONDITION REPORT: There is a 2cm chip to the neck rim and further smaller chips, no lid and there I a 0.5cm glaze loss to the lower body In two places, (see images). Otherwise in good order.

A fine quality Chinese Republic style rectangular porcelain Plaque, mountainous scene with a grand arched entrance before a pathway leading to water with boats and a further building, Chinese character script top right, housed within a Chinese hardwood frame having a Shou character style brass hanging mount, 37.5cm x 25cm CONDITION REPORT: Generally very good condition with no cracks, chips, hairlines or restoration noted, looking at the Plaque from the front as they will realise the Plaque is within a wooden frame and there is a board holding this in on the back. (possibly second half of the 20th Century).

Lot 29

A 17th/18th century Chinese porcelain Dish of large proportions, central cobalt-blue flower head design bordered by Ming style lappets with further peony, the border with six further stylised vignettes against a fish-scale style ground, the underside with early style 'auspicious objects' mark centring concentric circles, 38cm wide (hairlines and rim fritting) CONDITION REPORT: There are brown spots and flaking away from the glaze on the inside of the centre of the bowl, as you turn the bowl over three large hairlines are apparent, there is rim fritting and further issues.

A 19th century Chinese porcelain Jar (drilled) hand-decorated in underglaze blue with various plants a single stork etc., with turned Chinese hardwood circular cover delicately pierced centrally with a Shou character, together with one other similar sized 20th century Chinese ovoid Jar decorated with scrolling lotus and pierced cover, 18.5cm (including cover) (2) CONDITION REPORT: The Vase with the scrolling lotus design and lappets to the bottom appears to be in good condition with no problems noted, the other Vase has a crack to the lip of the neck possibly a firing crack although otherwise appears in generally good order but does have some brown flecking to the body and minor surface scratching and has actually been drilled at the bottom at some stage presumably for electricity.

Chinese 18th century export porcelain to include two Cups decorated in the famille rose palette (early/mid-18th Century); a famille rose decorated Saucer, two matching Tea Bowls and one other later Chinese porcelain Vase decorated with scrolling lotus against a rose ground, six-character mark to underside, (6|) CONDITION REPORT: One of the Famille Rose tea bowls has a chip to the lotus form rim and a chip to the foot rim with a further hairline to the base, the matching tea bowl appears to be in good condition, rim fritting to cups with handles, saucer in good original condition, the rose ground ginger jar (modern) in good order (see images).

A pair of 19th Century Chinese Canton porcelain Bottle Vases, the panels decorated with birds and flowers in typical style against a yellow ground (both bases drilled and one Vase with restoration to top of neck) CONDITION REPORT: Both of these have drill holes in the bases, one has had restoration around the top of the lip of the vase, surface scratches but the enamels seem quite bright. There is extensive restoration to the neck of one vase but the other seems to be in relative good order apart from the drill hole to the base.

An early 20th Century Chinese porcelain Vase and Cover brightly and elaborately hand decorated with auspicious objects, flower heads and yellow finger citron, 29cm (including cover) CONDITION REPORT: Finial glaze losses, minor chipping to inside rim otherwise in good order.

Lot 64

A pair of Chinese baluster-shaped porcelain sang de boeuf glazed Vases (now as lamps), the Vases approx. 28cm high (not including wood and brass fittings) CONDITION REPORT: Diameter of the bases is 15cm. The Vases look in good general overall original condition but the underside of the foot is quite chipped and rough. The gilt metal from brass mountings are quire worn, one of the Vases where the brass mount goes into the neck of the wood has a circular turned piece of wood and one of these looks to have several scratches. The wiring emanating from the wooden ferule that locates into the vase itself have been cut to 1cm each and would require complete rewiring and these have not been tested.

Lot 44

An early/mid-19th century Chinese porcelain circular Jar and Cover, the enamelled chrysanthemums and strawberries against a Café Au Lait ground, raised on Chinese hardwood Stand, the Jar and Cover 21.5cm CONDITION REPORT: Looking at the cover there are small match head sized chips (3/4) around the edge of the lip, the whole piece is covered in a sticky film (maybe not cleaned for many years), the main bowl also has a triple match head sized chip to the inside of the edge of the lip and the white glaze underneath of the piece appears bubbled.
