With domed cover, the vase of baluster form, decorated all-over with linear calligraphic script, with wooden base and cream shade, 99cm high overallCover and wooden base fixed in place, drilled to base, some wear and glaze crazing overall.

Well decorated with various crane medallions on lotus scroll ground between bands of ruyi heads, lappets and key fret. Double ring mark in underglaze blue to base. 29cm tall.Single hole drilled to centre or base previously used as a lamp base. Otherwise in good condition with no cracks or chips and no signs of repair. The gilt work in nice condition.

The reverse decorated with bamboo. 48cm diam.Chip at the rim leading into a 6cm hairline. With two further shallow chips at the rim. Some noticeable crazing in areas to the back of dish.

To include a Yuan dynasty Longquan celadon dish, heavily potted with floral medallion; Two Qingbai glazed porcelain jars, Song / Yuan dynasty, one with cover; Together with a Chinese blue and white porcelain box and cover inscribed with Chinese characters etched into the glaze, dated Republic period. Dish 22.5cm diam. (4)Minor single chips to one jar and cover. Otherwise in good overall condition with no repairs.
A CHINESE LONGQUAN CELADON TWIN FISH PORCELAIN DISH. Fish well detailed and applied in high relief surrounded by lightly incised circular rings. The outer wall decorated with carved lotus petals, covered in a pale celadon glaze excluding the foot ring where the pale grey body is revealed. 16 cm diam. Provenance: from the collection of the late Grahame Clarke (1942 – 2014), master potter known for founding two potteries, Highland Stoneware in Lochniver in 1942 and Grahame Clarke Porcelain in London in 1991. This bowl purchased by Mr. Clarke in the mid 2000s as Yuan Dynasty (13th Century), possibly of the period. For reference: Similar examples are illustrated and described in the Southeast Asian Ceramic Society book 'Chinese Celadons'.In fine condition, no cracks or chips and only minimal surface wear. No signs of repair.
