Quattro tazze con piattino in porcellana bianco blu, dal Nanking cargo Cina, dinastia Qing, Imperatore Qianlong (r. 1735-1796) Il 3 gennaio 1752, la nave Geldermalsen della Compagnia delle Indie Orientali, colpì una barriera corallina e affondò nel Mar Cinese Meridionale. Dell’equipaggio 32 uomini si salvarono mentre 80 annegarono con la nave e il suo carico di tè, seta grezza, tessile, merci secche, generi alimentari, lacca e porcellana. Le porcellane erano state fabbricate a Jingdezhen, antico centro di produzione di questo prezioso prodotto e poi spedita a Nanchino per la destinazione finale in Olanda. Il carico fu recuperato dal capitano Michael Hatcher nel 1985 e venduto da Christie’s di Amsterdam tra il 28 aprile e il 2 maggio 1985 come: “The Nanking Cargo. Chinese Export Porcelain and Gold”. CONDITION REPORT: Front and back covers of Alpine album off but present, no spine cover, some foxing to photos, tears to one. Second album wear to leather, losses, paper of cover lifting.

Three plastic containers containing a large collection of miniature porcelain and other wares to include Royal Crown Derby miniature cups and saucers decorated in the Imari palette, a miniature porcelain Chinese tea bowl, miniature Minton's porcelain tyg, a Crown Staffordshire miniature tyg, a collection of miniature doll's house sized Venetian style glassware, a miniature 18th Century Delft posset pot, a miniature Meissen shaped oval dish, miniature Doulton Lambeth stoneware harvest jugs and tyg, a miniature Meissen floral encrusted porcelain cabinet cup and saucer, an 18th Century English cream ware miniature tea bowl and saucer, a Continental porcelain miniature candlestick and miniature doll's house sized stoneware jugs, mugs etc, and a Derby teapot stand CONDITION REPORTS Teapot stand is crazed and has some yellow marking painted on it. It has various firing faults, some hairline cracks to the outside and wear to the guilding. Floral encrusted cabinet cup and plate have losses to the floral decoration. English cream ware tea bowl and saucer has chips to the edges and firing faults. Chinese tea bowl has chips/firing faults mainly to the base and a few hairline cracks. Delft style bowl has significant chips to the glaze, one of the miniature glass cups is smashed at the side completely. All items have general wear and tear conducive with age and use. A collection of 18th and 19th Century Chinese porcelain to include a famille verte circular shallow dish, another similar decorated in iron red and green, a Kaikemon decorated vase, two similar bowls, two further Chinese porcelain fruit bowls, a famille-rose miniature jar and cover, together with a small collection of famille-rose plates and dishes and three Kaikemon style porcelain circular shallow dishes decorated with panels of flowers and bird amongst branches (18) CONDITION REPORTS Famille Verte shallow dish has been broken in two and has been repaired with iron staples. There are various other repairs similarly. Hairline fractures all over, chipping, loss to the enamel etc. Similar dish has been drilled in the centre, hairline fracture to main body, large chip to the outside edge. Kaikemon vase neck has been broken off and re-glued. The two similar bowls have been broken and repaired, one with iron rivets, the other with glue plus additional futhre breakage unrepaired. Further two fruit bowls have also been broken and repaired. Famille Rose vase has several large chunks missing from the rim and has been broken and repaired. All Famille Rose plates and dishes have hairline fractures, star cracks etc. Three Kaikemon style circular siches - two have been broken and repaired, all items have heavy wear an tear to nclude chipping to rims, enamel, sides etc. Wear to the enamel, knife mark etc all in a rough condidion. See images for more details. NB Some old breaks / repairs and cracks have now separated.
