18th century Worcester porcelain sparrowbeak baluster cream jug,in "Three Ladies" pattern, decorated in underglaze blue with Chinese figures in a garden, with flowers & rock verso. Good restoration to handle & spout, 9.5cm high; a Liverpool (poss. Chaffers) porcelain coffee cup with underglaze blue floral scroll decoration, 6cm high & a pearlware cream jug of helmet form decorated with pavilions in a landscape, 10.5cm high. (3).
18th century Richard Chaffers, Liverpool porcelain sparrowbeak cream jug of baluster form with grooved loop handle & polychrome decorated "Chinese Cooking Scene" depicting a figure cooking on a brazier by a palm tree (small chip to spout), 9cm high. Condition Report. Chip to inside of sparrow beak, no signs of repair or restoration.
18th century Chinese Export porcelain famille rose bowl decorated with panels of figures on a puce lattice ground with smaller foliate panels, floral spray & iron red border to interior, unmarked, (some rim chips & 7cm hair crack), 19cm diam.; also another smaller bowl decorated with peonies, 11.5cm diam. (2).
18th century Chinese porcelain armorial plate with central crest surrounded by inner & outer floral border, 23cm diam.; lobed circular small dish or spoon tray with monogrammed shield & decorative linear borders, 14.5cm diam. & a shallow bowl with monogrammed floral cartouche & floral border in pink enamels, 25cm diam. Three 18th century Chinese blue & white porcelain plates decorated with peonies, all unmarked, two a.f., 32cm, 29cm & 29cm diam. (3). Condition Report. Right - Peonies - Small rim chip.Left - Peonies/butterflies - Large stapled repair 7½" and haircrack 7½".Middle - Large ponies - 3" and 4" crack, rim chips.
Antique Chinese blue & white porcelain teapot of cylindrical form with floral decoration & twin band wire handles, unmarked, restoration to spout, 16cm high; also a circular bowl decorated with a four clawed scrolling dragon amongst clouds, with underglaze painted lattice square & double ring mark to base, stapled repairs, 15cm diam. 18th century Chinese porcelain coffee cup decorated in polychrome enamels with children playing, replacement metal handle, 6.5cm high; Japanese Kutani coffee can, 5.5cm high & two Imari plates, one with inscribed label "This plate was presented ... purchased at the sale at Belmont Hall, 1804 ...", 26cm & 22cm diam. (4).
Chinese Canton porcelain plate decorated in polychrome enamels & gilt with central circular dragon panel surrounded by further panels of fruit & flowers with butterfly border, drilled with two small holes, 22cm diam.; also two other plates decorated with peonies. (3). Condition Report. Small chips and nibbles. Wire hanger may reveal damage to rim.
18th century Chinese Export blue & white porcelain ashet of octagonal form, decorated with vases, flowers & trees surrounded by a border of butterflies, precious things & scroll panels, 45cm long, restored; also two tureen covers decorated with pavilions & figures in a landscape, each 29cm long. (3). Condition Report. Ashet restored, sprayed all over, some flaking. Lids ok.
A Worcester Pu Tai pattern bell shaped coffee cup, wishbone handle, painted with a pot bellied monk seated by a rocky mound with two attendants to his left, one seated with a lotus flower, the other with a ball, the interior with iron red crowsfoot border picked out in gilt, 6.3cm high, c.1757Note. This pattern copied directly from Chinese porcelain. Pu Tai was a Buddhist Monk who lived in the Tang dynasty, his image of the jovial Monk was adopted and the popular representation of Buddha himself.
A Worcester Valentine pattern Cabbage Leaf pattern dish, painted with two doves perched on a quiver of arrows, two hearts on an altar, a garlanded tree and bird in flight, the stalks crossing to form the handle, 26cm wide, c.1758Note: for similar pattern and dish Zorensky Collection, Part 1, Page 28, Bonham Note. The original 'Valentine' pattern was a design created by Percy Brett, copied onto Chinese porcelain as a special presentation service made for Commodore Anson in 1743, probably as a wedding gift. This was copied by Worcester. Condition Report: Restored entwined branch thumbpieces.
