An important large Chinese hand painted porcelain temple basin with copper red body decoration and underglaze blue and white central frieze depicting four individual guardian lions separated by four relief mask- like metal ring holders, Dia. 35cm, D. 16.5cm. Wave pattern to rim. One metal ring missing. Minor rim hairline and age crackle to interior. Believed to be 19thC or earlier.
