Iron-red six-character seal mark of Tongzhi to base on a turquoise ground. Tongzhi (1861-75). 15.8cm wide.Wear and enamel loss in spots to the interior. No cracks or chips and no signs of repair. General surface wear to note.

A CHINESE YAOZHOU TYPE CARVED CELADON BOWL. Of conical form with a small unevenly-cut foot. The inner surface well carved with an elaborate peony design, the outer wall carved with parallel groves covered in a deep olive-green glaze. 17.5cm diam. Provenance: from the collection of the late Grahame Clarke (1942 – 2014), master potter known for founding two potteries, Highland Stoneware in Lochniver in 1942 and Grahame Clarke Porcelain in London in 1991. This bowl purchased by Mr. Clarke in 2007 as Northern Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1127), possibly of the period.In fine condition, no cracks or chips and only minimal surface wear to the interior. No signs of repair.
THREE CHINESE PORCELAIN DISHES, 18/19TH CENTURY. To include a celadon ground and underglaze blue dish decorated with five bats and central Shou medallion, four-character Chenghua mark to base; A blue and white dish decorated with bands of stylised Shou characters with a central Fu medallion; Together with a underglaze blue and red dish with carp, red wax seal to base. 21cm - 25cm diam. (3)Carp dish with one 2cm hairline at rim otherwise all in good order with no signs of repair.

(4)Condition: Minor chips and nibbles, hairline crack to tea bowl/saucer.

Edme Samson (French, 1810-1891). Pair of blue and white porcelain vases with gilt decoration. In the style of 18th century Chinese porcelain vases. Marked along the underside. Each with a carved wooden stand, one painted powder blue.Each, height: 13 in x width: 5 1/2 in x depth: 3 1/2 in. Base, each; height: 1 1/2 in x diameter: 4 1/2 in.Condition: No visible cracks, chips, or restorations. Both items have losses to the gilt and paint throughout. Both items have wear to the foot rim. There is minute crazing to the glaze on one item; there is a sticker stuck to the underside. Item also has heavy wear to the top rim. The other item has adhesive residue stuck to the underside. Both wood stands have wear.
