A VERY UNUSUAL NINETEENTH CENTURY CHINESE CARVED AND PIERCED CHERRY-WOOD OVER BED. Arched top with open scrolling foliage and six decorated porcelain panels. The frieze carved with eight immortals to the centre, standing by an altar, other figures and animals to either side, carved in high relief. 23" (59cm) high x 75" (192cm)wide. (1)

Painted in underglaze blue with a continuing landscape incorporating a figure riding upon a kylin and with three attendants, porcelain 22cm high. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Cover lacking. Drilled under the base. No cracks or restoration. One small rim chip.
