Sturm-Zigaretten (Storm Cigarettes aka the Storm Troopers' cigarettes; 1929-1935) were manufactured to support the NSDAP Nazi party's paramilitary unit, the Sturmabteilung (SA; aka the Brownshirts); the company also produced a set of cards for the German Army featuring different army and military images from history. Images showing uniforms of France, Morocco, Zuave, Foreign Legion and Colonial Troops. The Zouaves were a class of light infantry regiments of the French Army serving between 1830 and 1962 and linked to French North Africa, as well as some units of other countries modelled upon them. The zouaves, along with the indigenous Tirailleurs Algeriens, were among the most decorated units of the French Army. The French Foreign Legion (French: Legion etrangere) is a military service branch of the French Army established in 1831. Legionnaires are highly trained infantry soldiers and the Legion is unique in that it was, and continues to be, open to foreign recruits willing to serve in the French Armed Forces. Propaganda Posters ATS Signal Operators. Original vintage propaganda poster: ATS as signal operators, day and night at home and abroad, ATS operators send and receive messages, swiftly, accurately. The ATS (Auxiliary Territorial Service, 1938-1949) was the women's branch of the British Army during World War Two. The first women recruited to the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) worked as cooks, clerks and storekeepers. As time went on the range of duties expanded and women served as office, mess and telephone orderlies, drivers, postal workers, ammunition inspectors and signal operators.
