Outstanding WW2 German Gross Deutschland Division German Cross Winners Soldbuch, Photograph Album and Document Grouping, all relating to the service of Hans Karl Richter. His soldbuch has uniform photograph to the inside. Various units, promotions and other entries are noted inside. Towards the back of the book are his award entries which include Iron Cross 2nd Class, Wound Badge in Black, Wound Badge in Silver, Iron Cross 1st class, Close Combat Clasp in bronze and silver and also the German Cross in Gold along with other awards. His Close Combat days are also noted. The later award entries are very late entries and have been filled out on an additional form, very typical of late issue awards and soldiers who were continuously in action. Small photograph album contains many interesting black and white photographs of him in uniform where often the Gross Deutschland ciphers are clear on his shoulder boards and also the cuff title being worn. Other items in the grouping include a sports citation, Hitler Youth citation, dog tag and a GD veterans stick pin. A very interesting grouping to a highly decorated combat soldier in one of the elite divisions of the German army the Gross Deutschland division.

British Army Issue Longines Automatic Wristwatch, stamped to the reverse of the case W.W.W broad arrow stamp and 3513708. Black dial with Longines mark and War Department mark. Replaced leather strap. WW2 British Troops Malta Camouflaged Steel Combat Helmet, good example of a standard WW2 British army issue steel combat helmet which retains its original camouflage pattern finish which is known as Malta Camouflage. To the side of the helmet is an original British Troops Malta decaled insignia. 1940 dated liner system which shows a lot of wear and the webbing chinstrap is damaged. Some rusting to the exterior of the shell but overall a good example.

Accompanied by recipient’s original ribbon bar, Royal artillery blazer badges as well as the recipients 14th army badge. Also accompanied is the recipients original identity bracelet which is engraved “961785. FREEMAN. G R.A.”.

German Army Officers Dress Dagger by WKC Solingen, orange handle example complete with the original top pommel, cross guard in the form of a German army eagle and swastika. Housed in its original scabbard. Plain double edged blade with knights helmet trade mark to the base. Some surface staining to the blade and surface rusting to the exterior fittings. Untouched as found example.

CHES: REG:” and King’s South Africa medal Clasps South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902 awarded to “4255 PTE J. BURNS. CHESHIRE REGT“. Some contact marks and edge bruising, dark patina overall.Joseph Burns was born in 1880 in Hadfield, Derbyshire, and enlisted into the Cheshire regiment on the 19th July 1899. He Embarked to South Africa on the 22nd of January 1900 and returned from South Africa on the 10th of May 1902. He discharged from the Army by purchase on the 14th April 1905.

Rare WW2 German Army Motor Reconnaissance NCO’s Peaked Service Cap, being an issue peaked cap with copper brown piping to the crown and bordering the central green band. Zinc cap eagle and wreath cockade. Original patent chinstrap with plain black side buttons. Complete with the original leather sweatband and brown cloth lining. The cap shows evidence of wear to the interior, exterior remains in very good overall condition with nice saddle shape. One of the rarest coloured piping to find of German Army issue peaked caps as this was only issued for a very short time.

Royal Army Ordnance Corps Service Dress Tunic, being an other ranks example with brass collar badges, shoulder titles and tunic buttons. To the arms are formation signs for the 47th Infantry division and black felt Arm of Service strip. White twist cord lanyard to the shoulder. WD stamping to the interior. Accompanied by a 1942 dated pair of Service Dress Pantaloons for Motor Cyclists. Both show service wear but generally good condition, one formation sign is partially un-stitched. (2 items)
