A group of WWII and later medals to include three ascribed to '7889272 W.O.CL.2.J.H.LEIGHTON.R.A.RAPC.', each with ribbon and bar; Palestine 1945-48, Malay Peninsula and Regular Army, also two related warrants, an uninscribed Nigeria Independence medal and two WWI medals ascribed to '138367 GNR.H.A.MORGAN. R.A.', various spare ribbons, various military buttons and badges and two commemorative crowns.
Three WWII medals comprising a War Medal, Pacific Star and 1939-45 Star, issued to Private George Ritson of Bolton who was a member of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps, and died in 1943 as a prisoner of war in Japanese hands, with a collection of paperwork relating to Private Ritson including the notification of his death to his wife, other official papers, his commemorative scroll, photographs of Private Ritson and his grave etc.

MACGREGOR WITH REID AT SEBASTAPOL signed with monogram and dated l.r.: DM/1856 and inscribed on the reverse: Douglas Alexander MacGregor Lieutenant and Adjutant of the 97th with Reid his man. Killed at the Redan Sebastopol. Sketched by Duncan Macgregor. oil on board 29 cm by 27.5 cm; 11 in by 10 1/2 in framed Provenance The Parker Gallery, London According to Hart's Army List for 1854, Lieutenant Douglas Alexander MacGregor was posted Ensign in December 1853 into the 97th (Earl of Ulster's) Regiment of Foot. This regiment took part in the Siege of Sebastopol between 1854 and 1855, suffering a 59 percent casualty rate including Lieutenant Macgregor, and winning two Victoria Crosses during the storming of the Great Redan. The lineage of the 97th is carried on by the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment, the most senior English regiment of the line.

U.S. Government, October 25, 1943, large photolithographic poster with detachable scale at base of map, old folds, slight dust soiling, 1190 x 890 mm, together with Lee (Kerry), London Town, Travel by Southern Region...., circa 1955, pictorial monochrome map published by Southern Railways, old folds, some tape staining to margins, 425 x 570 mm Kerry Lee produced two colour pictorial maps for British Railways in the 1930s which were revised up until the 1950s. These railway posters, very much in the style of Macdonald Gill were very popular and this folding monochrome example appears to be a re-issue of these earlier maps. (2)

Jimmy Tansey Everton Personal Football Collection: Lovely lot from Jimmys Football career in the Army. A VIP programme from 1951 Army Cup Final which is signed by Jimmy and his team and also a team sheet programme for the match. C/W 7 press photos from the match. Included is a very rare pair of Adidas miniature football boots he got given at the time by an Adidas rep which could be earliest pair as they were founded in 1949. Two medals included with one stating 1949. Lot is enclosed in Jimmys suitcase that he took everywhere.
