Frank Slade’s pistol is most notably seen when Charlie Simms (Chris O’Donnell) confronts Frank (Al Pacino) and talks him out of shooting himself. This is a Colt 1911 Mk. IV live fire pistol that has been deactivated since filming, and is no longer in functioning order. The pistol itself features a blued finish with a 5” barrel and features faux walnut grips with a checkered pattern. This pistol his accompanied with an LOA (Letter of Authenticity) from the prop master. Please note this is a decommissioned firearm and will require an FFL for transfer of ownership. Please check your countries state and local laws before purchase. This lot comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Studio Auctions.

The hero machete wielded by Sylvester Stallone's character, John Rambo, in the 2008 action film Rambo. Having long-since abandoned his life as a lethal soldier, John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) lives a solitary life near the Thai border. Two weeks after guiding a missionary (Julie Benz) and her comrades into Burma, he gets an urgent call for help. The missionaries have not returned and although he is reluctant to embrace violence again, Rambo sets out to rescue the captives from the Burmese army. This custom made piece is constructed with a steel blade and features a handle wrapped in layers of black duct tape, with a string tied to the end of the handle. It is acompanied by a brown leather sheath, complete with leather twine attached to one end and a khaki utility belt fastened to the other. The back of the sheath bears duct tape with a handwritten annotation reading "Rambo / Hero." Stallone, in his role as "John Rambo," proudly displayed this machete in his home after filming concluded and was originally sold in the 2015 Stallone auction. The knife itself measures 17", while the sheath has a length of 18”. This lot comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Studio Auctions.

William Bruce Ellis Ranken (British, 1881 - 1941), 'The Redcoat', a young Lance Corporal in the Royal Horse Guards, (believed to be Harry Frankland), signed with monogram, and dated 1915, oil on canvas, with hand written label verso, 108.5 x 85cm, in later gilt frame Notes: The painting was first shown at the 4th National Portrait Society Exhibition held at The Grosvenor Gallery, 51a New Bond Street, London in March and April 1915. It was subsequently reproduced on the front cover of the magazine 'Colour' in June 1915. The painting was further exhibited at The Royal Scottish Academy in the summer of 1916 (no. 164). The sitter appears to bear a strong resemblance to the figure in Ranken’s oil 'Trooper of Royal Horse Guards, in Walking-Out Dress' (National Army Museum collection) and a watercolour in the collection of Warrington Museum and Art Gallery, both of which were gifted by the Ranken family. In 1915, Ranken also exhibited a large oil of a portrait group entitled ‘Life Guards’, the central figure has the same head as Warrington Museum’s painting and a strong resemblance to 'The Redcoat’ sitter. According to Ranken's papers, the painting was lost in the early 1920’s following an unauthorised sale of some of his works. Furthermore, there appears to be no auction records for 'The Redcoat'. This could be the first time the painting has appeared in the public domain in over 100 years. Information courtesy of Wendy & Gordon Hawksley, for further details we recommend that you contact - www.williamranken.org.
