It appears to have had some use but has been well cared for. The bore is bright and shiny with only very light frosting where the lands meet the grooves. The insides of the cylinders are of similar condition to the bore. The action works correctly with good timing and lock up. The finish has light scuffs, marks and fine scratches. The wood grips have dents and scratches but no cracks or repairs.

There is some pitting or powder burns on the outside of the muzzle, small dents and marks around the nipple areas of the cylinder, small scattered patches of light brown corrosion stains, as well as small scratches and surface marks. The bore has some pitting marks which might improve with cleaning. The hammer will not click into full cock, however, if it is held back in full position, the cylinder locks up correctly.

Deactivated engraved 20th century 1860 Army Percussion revolver Deactivated engraved 20th century copy of a Colt 1860 Army Percussion revolver, probably made by Uberti, with 8 inch barrel, the whole gun engraved with scrolls flowers along with additional gilt line details, serial number 2869. Photo ID will be required if the lot is to be posted out. 37cm long The hammer will move forward and backwards under spring tension and rotate the cylinder, it will not however cock or dry fire. The loading lever spring is not as strong as it could be and the loading lever has the tendency to drop down of its own accord. The pistol is otherwise in good general condition with only small signs of wear. There are some small marks to the grips. The holster has some scuffs and small marks.

The main fault is that if the action is cocked too rapidly the cylinder can skip to far ahead and miss the locking lug. This could probably be corrected by a new spring as part of the spring kits supplied online. If the action is cocked normally then the gun cycles and locks up correctly. The bore is in good order with no damage to the rifling or accessive wear. There is some wear to the metal finish especially around the line of the cylinder, the grips have some scratches, minor dents and wear.
