A post 1902 Captain’s full dress scarlet doublet of The Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders, blue facings, gilt lace and braid trim to collar and cuffs, braid loops to 4 pockets at waist, gilt shoulder cords with rank badges (one button missing), embroidered collar badges, good gilt buttons, name on tailor’s label “Capt V.A.P. Haskett-Smith”, with date 1921; regimental tartan plaid and kilt, with crimson sash. GC, the gilt good. Sword Cutlers and Army Accoutrement Makers to Her Majesty and Board of Ordnance”, etched (faint) with scrolled panels including “Rifle” and “Brigade”, regulation steel hilt including crowned strung bugle, stepped pommel, plain backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, in its black leather scabbard (worn and torn) with 3 steel mounts and 2 rings. A WWI 1897 pattern Indian Army infantry officers sword, straight fullered blade 32½”, by Wilkinson, no 55336 (for 1918) on backstrap, etched on both sides with crowned R Arms (without supporters) GRI cypher and wreath, in scrolled foliate panels, regulation pierced steel hilt incorporating crowned GRI cypher, plain pommel, chequered backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, in its steel scabbard with 2 rings.
