R.A.S.C.), officially impressed, all unmounted, contained in a postal despatch box.
A GREAT WAR CASUALTY PAIR OF MEDALS TO PRIVATE D.M. DYKES, ARMY SERVICE CORPS comprising the British War Medal 1914-20 and Victory Medal (both M2-181324 Pte. D.M. Dykes. A.S.C.), officially impressed, unmounted, in box of issue. Note: Private Daniel MacPherson Dykes, 688th Mechanical Transport Coy, Army Service Corps, died on 6th November 1918, probably of influenza. He is buried with honour at Skopje British Cemetery, Macedonia. Born in Glasgow, he had taken up residence at Kingston St. Mary (Somerset) before enlisting at Taunton. He is commemorated near his former home, on the War Memorial in the churchyard of St. Mary's Church, Kingston St. Mary.

An Army and Navy picnic set in case CONDITION REPORTS Hamper measures 49cm x 35cm x 16cm. Case itself is scuffed in various places especially the corners and the skin effect is peeling off in various places. The condiment set has one broken lid and one side plate has a burn/melt mark. One of the larger glass jars has a cracked lid, there are five "glasses". The fittings all have general wear, some surface scratching and discolouration.
