Copper wire wrapped leather grip with brass pommel, 'D' shaped knuckle guard with folding pierced Prussian Eagle guard. Steel straight pipe backed double fullered single edged blade. Blade stamped Erfurt with crown. Complete with scabbard. Measures: 100cm long.

The blouse being a 1940 pattern tunic, complete with VIII Corps patches to shoulders, RAOC cloth titles, rank pip and medal ribbons. Generally excellent condition for age.
A charming unique original WWII Second World War related hand stitched cotton table cloth - stitched with the autographs of various Allied soldiers, nurses and personnel. Obtained during work in the NAAFI (Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes) during the period 1941-1944. Partially unfinished, some signatures remain in pencil only. Some names featured include; crew of HMT Britannic, members of the Royal Artillery, various Captains, Majors and other high ranking officers etc. An interesting and unique document of WWII history.

An incredibly rare WWII Second World War era PPA Popskis Private Army ' No.1 Demolition Squad ' special forces uniform beret. Black beret, with rare original PPA cap badge to front. Rare uniform beret, from an special operations unit. Popski's Private Army, officially No. 1 Demolition Squadron, PPA, was a unit of British Special Forces set up in Cairo in October 1942 by Major Vladimir Peniakoff. Popski's Private Army was one of several raiding units formed in the Western Desert during the Second World War. The squadron also served in Italy, and was disbanded in September 1945. No. 1 Demolition Squadron was formed specifically to attack Field-Marshal Rommel's fuel supplies, in support of General Montgomery’s offensive at El Alamein, at the suggestion of Lieutenant-Colonel John Hackett. The unit became operational on 10 December 1942 as an 8th Army Special Forces unit. After the Long Range Desert Group (LRDG) and the Special Air Service (SAS), PPA was the last and smallest of the three main irregular raiding, reconnaissance and intelligence units formed during the North African Campaign.
A rare and unique piece of military history - a DDMS 30 Corps (XXX Corps) staff car pendent flag, possibly that of General Field Marshall Montgomery, which was destroyed by Dive Bomber during the North Africa campaign in 1942. The flag, being a red cross on white ground, features handwritten notation to three corners ' Battle For Tobruck (sic) 18/11/41-5/12/41', ' DDMS30 Corps ' and ' 75A CCS - Dive Bombed 6/12/42'. Flag shows signs of wind and age damage. An interesting piece of WWII history. XXX Corps (30 Corps) was a corps of the British Army during the Second World War. The Corps provided extensive service in the North African Campaign at the Second Battle of El Alamein in late 1942, and in the Tunisia Campaign and the Allied invasion of Sicily in 1943, after which it returned briefly to the United Kingdom; the Corps served in the reclamation of France from June 1944 in the Allied Invasion of Normandy, and then served in Operation Market Garden, in the Netherlands, and finally in Operation Veritable in Germany until May 1945. The Siege of Tobruk lasted for 241 days in 1941, after Axis forces advanced through Cyrenaica from El Agheila in Operation Sonnenblume against Allied forces in Libya, during the Western Desert Campaign (1940–1943) of the Second World War. In late 1940, the Allies had defeated the Italian 10th Army during Operation Compass (9 December 1940 – 9 February 1941) and trapped the remnants at Beda Fomm. During early 1941, much of the Western Desert Force (WDF) was sent to the Greek and Syrian campaigns. As German troops and Italian reinforcements reached Libya, only a skeleton Allied force remained, short of equipment and supplies.

' Trenches Corrected To 1-1-17 ' to top. Some added pencil markings, presumed to be those marking bomb craters are also present. Linen backed as issued. Fragile - upper left section torn at seam, but still attached. Measures approx 68cm x 90cm when opened.

An incredible original WWII Second World War Third Reich Nazi German Army issued M35 Stahlhelm Q62 steel combat helmet liberated from the home of Nazi Germany's Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop. Stamped Q68 to inside, along with ' 259 '. Single decal version, with swastika and eagle motif side. Complete with original liner and leather chin strap. Rare example of a helmet, from the home of the Nazi Foreign Minister. The helmet was liberated from Von Ribbentrop's home by a Major Holloway of the Intelligence Corps, who was part of the 26th FS Section with the 59th Infantry Division who captured him in 1945. From a large private collection of militaria. The hilt having amber celluloid handle, domed point pommel with oak leaf decoration, double forward facing scroll crossguard with Imperial eagle clutching a wreathed Swastika, stiletto blade with makers ' Tiger Solingen ' to the ricasso along with the original oak leaf decorated scabbard with hanger rings. Measures; 40cm overall.

An original WWII Second World War British issue water bottle canteen and holder. Named to the inside of the pocket to a ' Lieutenant T. Stokes - VI Commando - D. Troop '. Officially dated 1944 with broad arrow. Very likely used during Operation Overlord / D-Day. Rare piece of named equipment. No. 6 Commando was a battalion-sized British Army commando unit of the Second World War. Although it was raised to conduct small-scale raids and harass garrisons along the coast of German-occupied France, it was mainly employed as a highly trained infantry assault unit. Formed in July 1940, No. 6 Commando's first involvement in operations came in late 1941 when it contributed small forces to raids in Norway. In April 1942 the whole unit was scheduled to take part in Operation Myrmidon, in France, but this raid was eventually cancelled. As a result, the first full-scale operation that No. 6 Commando took part in was Operation Torch, the Allied landings in Algeria in November 1942. Later, it joined the advance into Tunisia in 1943. On 6 June 1944, it participated in the D-Day landings in France as part of Operation Overlord, coming ashore with the 1st Special Service Brigade which was tasked with linking up with the troops from the 6th Airborne Division on the eastern flank of Sword.
