Follower of Charles Spencelayh, (1865-1958) PORTRAIT OF AN OLD VIOLINIST, seated in an open armchair, a gate-leg table, paraffin lamp and army photograph behind him, a top hat and umbrella beside the door, watercolours, unsigned, 33.5cm x 26cm, (13.2in x 10,.2in), in gilt card mount (inscribed 'C. Spencelayh'), and gilt frame under glass.

Aliwal, 1 bar, Sobraon; Army Long Service & Good Conduct, Vic., type 3, all correctly named but some details worn from bruising, the first and last very fine, the Sutlej only fair and heavily contact marked from the Star, and the Punniar Star poor and damaged as stated, nevertheless a rare group (4)
