British Army WW1 medals comprising War and Victory Medals named to 2611 Cpl A D Griffiths, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, together with his Certificate of Disembodiment, Discharge Certificate etc. Albert David Griffiths joined the Colours (7th Battalion RWF) on 8th March 1913 and was discharged on 6th August 1918. Included in this lot is Gallipoli Association ephemera.Cpl Griffiths' brother Evan was killed while serving on the Western Front with the Worcestershire Regiment. See lot 1180

Both were residents of Minchinhampton, Stroud
British Army WW1 medals comprising 1914-1915 Star, named to 1612 Pte G M Popple, East Kent Regiment, War Medal and Victory Medal, both named to 2nd Lieutenant G M Popple, together with two miniature paintings, both with leather cases. George Marsden Popple was attested on 1st of September 1914 and Gazetted on the 1st January 1916 to be temporary Second Lieutenant with the Northumberland Fusiliers. He died on 26th June 1916 aged 21 and is buried in the Authile Military Cemetery. With copy paperwork and research documentation.

Sgt Bullock was a resident in Minchinhampton, Stroud, and joined the Royal Horse Artillery from the Gloucestershire Regiment, following in his father's footsteps. He served in India and South Africa. British Army Waterloo Medal named to Thomas Cullimore 51st Regiment of Foot, designated as 51st Light Infantry Regiment, with a copy of pages from his Regimental Pay Book and notice of his death in a provincial newspaper reading 'Thomas Cullimore an old inhabitant of the village of Rudgeway (Nr Thornbury) died at the age of 81 years. The deceased was for seven years previous to the memorable battle of Waterloo (in which he was wounded) a soldier in the British Army and saw a good deal of service during the French War, the last engagement in which he served being that of Waterloo, where a cannon ball passed through the cap he was wearing and wounded him on the top of the head'
