General Ira Clarence Eaker signed 10x8 inch black and white photo. General (Honorary) Ira Clarence Eaker (April 13, 1896 - August 6, 1987) was a general of the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. Eaker, as second-in-command of the prospective Eighth Air Force, was sent to England to form and organize its bomber command. While he struggled to build up airpower in England, the organization of the Army Air Forces evolved and he was named commander of the Eighth Air Force on December 1, 1942. Good condition Est.
WW2 British Dispatch Riders Gloves and Goggles, plus US goggles, 1943 Dated Gloves for dispatch riders as well as a pair of 1943 dated goggles. In good condition, with good lenses in a yellow tint. Also included are US army polaroid M44 goggles and trigger finger wool gloves. Both in fair condition.
WW2 British Army Sniper / Spotter, Signalling Telescope and Case, Original WW2 period telescope for signalling and spotting. Maker marked ‘Dollond, London’ and ‘Signalling IV S’ with broad arrow. Comes with the leather eye piece/lens covers plus a spare lens in a small leather pouch. Overall, very nice condition, clear lenses, including the spare.
Two US Army Leather Pistol Holsters, Two US Army leather holsters, one or the 38 revolver dating to 1909 and made by ‘Rock Island Arsenal’. Its leather in a dark brown is supple but sturdy. Very nice example. Also, a M3, Colt.45 shoulder holster, in great condition. This example is strong with minimal wear and showing its original light brown/tan leather owing to not being subjected to any leather treatment. The date ‘1944’ is stamped into the rear of the holster as well as the manufacturer ‘Enger-Kress’. Nice pair of collectable holsters.
WW2 US and British Army Map Cases, One US Army map case in what appears to be unissued, making the condition hard to beat. It’s dated to the rear, with a crisp ink stamp of 1942 and the manufacturer ‘American Leather Corps’. Complete with strap and two fully working lift the dot fasteners. Unissued British map case, also in exceptional condition, with clear ink stamp date of 1944 and ‘Blackman Co.’ manufactures. Press studs are fully functional and complete with strap.
A Great War 1914-15 Star trio to the Army Service Corps, 1914-15 Star Medal, British War and Victory Medals, “20201 PTE. J. THOMPSON A.S.C.” John Thompson from Rochdale, Lancashire enlisted on 19th October 1915 and served in the Balkans theatre from 14th November 1915. He later transferred to the Labour Corps with service number 349663 before being discharged as unfit for further service due to sickness on 11th March 1918, he was issued with a Silver War Badge.
WW2 US Army M4 Sniper Spotters Scope and Tripod 1942, original M4 snipers spotter scope in its original leather case. The telescopes itself is in very nice condition with almost all of its original green finish, the only surface wear to the lens cap itself. Nicely dated upon the metal tag riveted on the body, 1942, with makers mark ‘R.Z.C’. lenses are in exceptional condition. The leather case is original to the scope and is in good condition with buckle and straps in place. The tripod in which is correct for the scope, making this a complete set, is in fine working condition along with its correct pouch, which has had as repair to the bottom. Otherwise, good with all straps and buckles in place.

WW2 US Army Shoulder Holsters, M3 & USMC M7, Pair of leather shoulder holsters, one of the standard M3 variant, in black leather. Makers marked ‘Enger-Kress’ and 1943 dated. Good example. Secondly is the USMC M7 shoulder holster, this holster varies different to the M3, complete with its straps clipped onto the ringlets. Stamped to the rear of the holster is ‘USMC, Boyt, 45’ USMC issue and 1945 dated. Lovely piece and quite scarce.
WW2 Italian Pith Helmet and Peaked Cap, Original Italian army pith helmet with goggles, the helmet unfortunately has suffered over the years, with the cork material inside becoming brittle and breaking up, causing the helmet to lose shape, it has that appearance of being there to say the least. Liner, chin strap and the original badge still remain. WW2 Italian officers peaked cap included with this lot, is in fair condition, its makers marked to the sweatband and the inside of the cap, Bullion badge on the front with chin strap, leather peak has some surface damage to the top but overall a nice condition hat.
Two WW2 US Army Wrist / Leg Compasses, Two US Army compasses, marked to the rear ‘Corps Of Engineers, US Army’, as well as the manufacture, ‘Superior Magneto Corp’. One features a led strap made in webbing/canvas, the other with traditional leather wrist strap. Both in good condition with differences between them.
WW2 US Army Webbing Equipment, One M1923 cartridge belt, 1942 dated, all ten lift the dot fasteners work as should. Two M1 Thompson SMG 5 cell 20rds ammo pouches one of which is unissued, marked ‘US’ to the rear on one, there are no other stamps or dates, both in great condition. One Thompson SMG 30rds magazine pouch with strap, excellent condition and 1943 dated to the rear. Also in this lot is the green canvas 30rds magazine pouch intended for the Grease gun. Lovely condition with paper makers label to the inside ‘Hinson MFG Co’ on date visible although as wartime pattern pouch. Accompanying this lot are 5 Thompson SMG mags.
US Army WW2 Pistol Belt Order for Colt 45, US Army pistol rig for 1911 Colt 45. Original belt with two original .45 magazine pouches, both of which are 1943 dated, with fully functional ‘lift the dot’ fasteners. The holster itself is ‘Boyt’ stamped to the rear, as well as 42, for the year of manufacturer. The holsters leather is in a dark brown and in good sturdy condition.
WW2 German Army High Command (General Staff) Officers Crusher Cap, untouched as found example in field grey cloth with carmine piping to the crown and bordering the bottle green central band. Soft leather ‘crusher’ type peak and correct bevo flat wire eagle and cockade. Interior with cloth lining. Cap is well worn and suffering with moth damage. This item belonged to the vendors grandfather, Hans Post, who was said to have been on one of the last planes evacuating German troops from Stalingrad. WW2 German Army Double Decal Steel Combat Helmet, interesting example of a M-35 steel combat helmet which has a textured overpaint finish to the exterior of the shell. Helmet has an army decal which is well worn and appears to be overpainted, the opposite side has a period painted national tri-colour shield. Interior complete with the original leather liner on aluminium liner band. Complete with leather chinstrap. The liner has ink name of the original owner ‘POST’. Shell is stamped ‘Q64’ and ‘759’. Generally a good example. This item belonged to the vendors grandfather, Hans Post, who was said to have been on one of the last planes evacuating German troops from Stalingrad. A scarce Great War pair of medals to a Physician who served as a Major in the Canadian Siberian Expeditionary Force, British War and Victory Medals, “MAJOR W.M. CARRICK”, medals mounted as worn. Wellington Montelle Carrick was a 34-year-old Physician from Hamilton, Ontario who attested for the Canadian Army Medical Corps on 19th September 1918. He served with 16th Field Ambulance with the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Siberia. He arrived in Siberia on board the S.S. Empress of Russia on 15th January 1919, he served with the CSEF until 19th May 1919 being demobilised on the following day.
Royal Army Chaplains Department Captains Battle Dress Blouse, 49th Division, RAChD battle dress blouse with original titles and purple backed pips to epaulettes (Captain). The 49th Divisions polar bear formation patch is on the right arm only. Nice clean condition blouse, size 4 and 1954 dated.
