A Colt Model 1860 Style Army .44 Calibre Six Shot Percussion Revolver, with 20cm unmarked cylindrical steel barrel, plain rebated steel cylinder, creeping style loading lever, brass trigger guard and walnut grip scales, all metal parts numbered 12042, in an oak case, the green baize lined interior fitted with accessories including a copper powder flask, a bullet mould, cap tin, oil flask, turnscrew/nipple key etc; a 19th Century American Powder Horn, with scrimshaw decoration of a bloodhound, with cork stopper (2)The metalwork of the revolver has been refinished. There are no visible maker's markings. The action does not work properly, the cylinder engages and rotates, but the hammer will not cock fully. The powder flask is very corroded and pitted to the underside. The bullet mould is modern.

Two US Army model 1904 dress swords, blade lengths 81 and 80cm, the latter with wooden grip, the blade by H V Allien and Co, foliate engraved with US to the one side and with the name Percy G Black to the other. Notes: Major Percy G Black, the only recorded US Army officer of this name, was the Military Defence Attache in Berlin from 1937-1940, observing at first hand the German invasion of Poland. He was later Assistant Chief of Staff to General Andrews, later appointed to the Intelligence Division, Chief of Staff Supreme Allied Commander (COS-SAC), and finally in April 1944 was reassigned to the office of the Assistant Chief of Staff, G2, War Department General Staff, where he served as Chief German Specialist and Chief Western European Specialist. Over the course of his military career which spanned both WWI and WWII, he was awarded various distinguished service medals including the Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, and the Officers' Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.

SPITFIRE ACE 8x10 inch photo signed by Rudy Augarten, an American fighter pilot during World War II who went on to aid Israels neophyte air force. Augarten parachuted into Normandy in 1944 when the Germans shot down his P-47 Thunderbolt fighter plane. After a French farm family hid him for three weeks, he tried walking back to Allied lines, but he was captured and imprisoned by the Nazis. He and a British soldier escaped through their farmhouse prisons attic. Augarten returned to his U.S. Army Air Corps unit and flew 92 more missions, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross. GREAT ESCAPER Sachenhausen cover signed by Sqn Ldr Bertram Arthur jimmy James MC, who was 39th out of the tunnel during the Great Escape from Stalag Luft III. He was recaptured near the Czech border and imprisoned in Sachenhausen where he was sentenced to death. He was held in solitary confinement for five months and liberated by the US Army in May 1945.
