AMERICA', stepped cylinder (traces of roll engraved scene), open iron four-screw frame marked 'COLT'S PATENT', iron back-strap, brass front-strap and guard, smooth walnut grip with martial cartouche (faint), the whole with a faded refinish and together with a later wood case lined and compartmented in blue baize and containing a reproduction flask and brass mounted shoulder-stock, along with an original iron bullet mould for this model, a nickel-plated oil-bottle and a period cap tin.
