A rare Beretta Pieri-system breech-loading rifle dating: last quarter of the 18th Century provenance: Brescia Round, 10 mm cal. barrel with octagonal base, marked "BERETTA" and "BRESCIA", with adjustable rear-sight and foresight; center-fire bolt; wooden stock (small parts missing), iron mounts. 1870 circa.The Pieri-system breech-loading rifle, produced by Beretta of Brescia (by Glisento too) in a very limited number, was presented at the contest of the Royal Army to substitute the Carcano mod. 1867.
