1908 Pattern Bavarian Greatcoat, the all grey 1908 pattern, good nap to cloth, some light staining at the front, Bavarian army group marked ‘B.A.II’ with end of date indistinct, maker’s stamping and size stampings, only very minor moth nips having simplified shoulder straps to Bavarian Infantry Regiment 23. Featured on page 44 of Feldzug 15.
Bavarian Model 1916 Universal Greatcoat, excellent example, complete with Bavarian and NCO lace to collar, some light peppering of moth, deep standard configuration. Good nap of cloth overall. Unidentified marking ‘Z.EBR.’ to interior plus size markings. Loops fitted for shoulder straps. All plain domed field grey buttons. An example of as shown on page 191 of German Army of the First World War by Jurgen Kraus.
WW1 German M 07/15 Prussian Infantry Feldrock Tunic, rank of NCO constructed in officers material but issued to enlisted ranks/NCO. Army group marked ‘B.A.X.1916’ with profuse size stampings to the interior plus a Hannover manufacturer’s stamp. No visible moth damage, red piped front, deep turned back cuffs, M.15 rear skirt, complete with shooting lanyard and slip-on Prussian Infantry Regiment 237 NCO’s shoulder boards. Featured on page 118, 119 of Feldzug 15.
Prussian Artillery Regiment 13 Model 1915 Field Grey Tunic, a good service worn tunic, nap of cloth thin overall, standard M.15 configuration, two moth holes on the back panel, apple green collar with faded NCO’s lace, medical patch to the left hand sleeve as the tunic is viewed, standard M.15 artillery red shoulder boards with yellow grenade and Regiment No.13. Unusual striped calico lining, indistinct army group marking, size marking visible, some staining to the lining otherwise excellent.
Mauser S98/05 Trophy Piece Saw Back Bayonet, a highly interesting trophy piece being a beautifully bladed S98/05 bayonet, maker marked crown over ‘Erfurt’. The back strap is marked crown over ‘W15’ with Imperial acceptance stamp. Good wood grips, complete with its original faintly maker stamped leather frog and NCO’s bayonet knot. Adhered to the scabbard is an original British Army Field Post Office stamped label to Mrs. J. Cocroft, 66 South View Sheffield’ with ‘Passed by censor’ stamps dated ‘16th June or July 16’. An historic item.
Battlefield Captured Bavarian Feldmutze (Forage Cap), M.16 dated 07/15 enlisted mans feldmutze with its original capture tag. Excellent condition, one moth hole to the crown, two minor moth nips to the rear body, complete with its Bavarian state and national cockades with its camouflage band lightly placed over the red centre band. Army group marked ‘B.A.VII 1916’ stamp to the upper inner crown, still with its original card capture tag which reads “From a dugout in a German trench north west of Delville Wood, September 1916”. Featured on page 184 and 185 of Feldzug 16.
Baden Enlisted Mans Feldmutze (Forage Cap), good condition Baden enlisted ranks feldmutze, good nap to the cloth, no moth damage, complete with its national black, white and red cockade and gold and red Baden state cockade. Beautifully marked to the interior ‘1.B.R.J.R.110’ plus army group markings ‘B.A.XIV 1915’. Featured on page 51 of Feldzug 15.
M.1907 5th Prussian Hussar Regiment Feldmutze (Forage Cap), a magnificent and very rare feldmutze to Prussian Hussar Regiment No.5, stone grey body, one very small moth nip, white waffenfarbe with red centre band, both state and national enlisted ranks cockades. Original maker’s stamp to the interior. Army group marked ‘B.A.17 1915’. Featured on page 180 of Feldzug 15.

Good nap to cloth, bright colours to the waffenfarbe. Maker marked to the interior, army group mark, dated ‘1916’, manufacturer marked and size ‘57’. Featured on page 10 of Feldzug 17.
Prussian M.1908 Jager zu Pferde Feldmutze (Forage Cap), superb near mint condition feldmutze of an enlisted man in the 3rd Jager zu Pferde Regiment. All nap of cloth present, good bright colours to yellow waffenfarbe. Manufacturer’s stamp to the inside. Size stamped. Army group marked ‘B.A.XV. dated ‘1915’, complete with its national and state cockades. Featured on page 50 of Feldzug 15.
Prussian Enlisted Mans Pickelhaube, very large size leather skull, slight distortion which can be re shaped, all chemically treated grey metal fittings match in colour, liner absolutely complete, marked size ‘58’, maker marked to rear peak, marked to the 7th Army Corps, no extra holes. Dated to the interior but the last two digits indistinct.

The interior leather liner is still in light tan colour complete with original drawstring, no extra holes. Wurttemberg Enlisted Mans Pickelhaube. With grey metal fittings. A huge size leather helmet, beautiful skull, no crazing, original chinstrap, complete with correct state and national cockades. The interior is very close to unworn condition, maker marked, original drawstring to the liner, profusely stamped on the back peak ‘G.R.123’ with faint date below, followed by 13th Army Corps markings with size stamp ‘59’. Mecklenburg Schwerin Shako, this rare leather enlisted mans shako from Mecklenburg Schwerin has an excellent skull, chemically finished front plate, complete with correct Mecklenburg Schwerin red, cream, yellow and blue field cockade. Standard national cockade in red, white and black. The interior leather liner is excellent, no extra holes, good colour. Army group marked ‘BAX5 1916’, this unit also titled as 14th Jager Battalion. Monday, October 25, 1943..., 215th Week of the War, 97th Week of U.S. participation, 'Target Berlin', colour printed, 'bullseye' map of Europe, Russia and North Africa, centered on Berlin, with articles and photographs on verso, old folds, 1180 x 875 mm, together with another thirty-four Newsmap publications showing maps of Australasia, Russia, Philippines, Japan, The Pacific, Borneo & Thailand, Schouten Islands, Germany, Italy, Celebes islands (Indonesia) and Europe, with the verso showing propogranda, information, savings bonds, military insignia and uniforms and identification charts of allied and enemy equipment and machinary and news of the progress of the war on its various fronts, all approximately 1180 x 880 mm, various condition Newsmaps were published by the Special Service Division, Army Service Forces, War Department. The issues were prepared and distributed by the Army Orientation Course. One standard feature that appears on all maps is a short textual summary of key events titled The War Fronts, that includes descriptions of war-related events, mostly by geographic area, such as China, Russia, Tunisia, South Pacific, Aleutians, Wake, etc. Newsmaps were produced each Monday from 1942-1946 and usually featured a map of the current war fronts on one side and a poster about a war-related topic on the other. They were distributed by the Army and Navy to primarily military installations and government & civilian groups working on War Department projects. (35)

BECK JAMES: (1929-1973) English Actor, famous for his portrayal of Private Walker in the British Sitcom Dad's Army. Rare signed postcard photograph, a close-up portrait of Beck wearing a hat in costume as the cockney spiv Walker. Signed in blue ink with his name alone to the lower white border. Signed photographs of Beck are rare as a result of his untimely death at the age of 44. One very slight corner crease, otherwise VG

WW2 German Army Officers Sword by Carl Eickhorn, fine example of a WW2 German army officers dress sword with gilt metal guard with relief decoration. Langet with down winged German eagle and swastika. Panther head with red jewelled eyes. Grip retains the original wire binding. Officers leather and bullion wire dress knot / portopee attached to handle. Housed in its black painted scabbard with single hanging ring. Plain polished slightly curved single edged blade with fuller to the back edge. Carl Eickhorn makers trade mark to the base. Blade measures 76 ½ cms in length. Good overall condition.
