Set of two photographs and a souvenir picture of a Pole (Konarski) in the German army, WWI period, soldier from the 72nd Field Artillery "Grand Master", stationed in Marienwerder, Preußisch Stargard near Danzig (now Starogard Gdański dear Gdański in Poland). The first photo is framed in an Secession-style wooden frame, and shows the soldier with, most likely, his wife. The second shows the same soldier in uniform. The commemorative picture shows images of German emperors, an image of a rider on horseback, and the inscription "Zur Erinnerung meiner Dienstzeit" ("In memory of my service").

Designed by Eugeniusz Pietraszewski. Badge in the form of stylised wings, in the center yellow letters “GCTC” standing for Guard’s Civilian Training Centre. Below stripes and star of the United States. Numbered on reverse 3032. Badge made for the Polish Guard Companies under the US command in occupied Germany. Scarce aluminium version with a visible die matrix and made of aluminium. Good condition as on photographs.

Served in Polish Armed Forces from January to June 1940, was internee in Switzerland, where he remained from June 1940 up to May 1945. Grouping of documents and diplomas from Polish People's Republic after Thomas Paweł. Lieutenant Colonel Paweł Thomas, born 1891 Walentynowo, died 1969 Bydgoszcz. Decorated with the Virtuti Militari Cross. He started his career in the Prussian Army in Poznań, then took part in the Greater Poland Uprising, commander of a section on the Western Front, he contributed to the capture of Fort Pritwitz. From 1922, the chief of staff of the North Group in Upper Silesia in the 74th Infantry Regiment from Lubliniec. Id 1827, 77 Infantry Regiment in Lida. From 1930, the 85th Infantry Regiment in Nowa Wilejka, then in 1933-38, the Command of the Completen District in Szamotuły. In 1939, the commander of the evacuation group, interned in Romania. From 1941 in German captivity, he returns to Poland in 1945.

Made in Italy around 1945-1946.The central plaque with an elliptically rounded shape shows the hills with the ruins of a conquered monastery over which the Polish eagle is visible. A decorative ribbon is stretched below the whole and the inscription “M. Cassino – 18 -V-1944” below it. The patch of the 8th British Army so called Crusader Shield. A standard version which was widely issued to Polish soldiers of the 2nd Polish Corps of General Anders.  Smooth reverse. In the corners of the patch visible holes serving as a mounting on an uniform sleeve.  Size 64mm x 37mm.Patches of this type were produced in Castelfirado in Italy from July 1944 up to around 1947. Castelfirado was a center of accordion (in which celluloid was used). During the war, demand for musical instruments became low, and as soon as Polish troops liberated the city, local workshops started the produce of Polish symbols, patches and souvenirs.

A badge is in form of red enameled cross, in the central part visible Haller eagle in a crown. On the cross visible inscription “Swoim Żołnierzom Oswobodzona Polska”. In the background visible a circle in form of fans. Between the crosses arms visible names “Lwów”, “Pomorze”, “Wołyń”, “Szampania”. Reverse of the badge smooth, with a post and spinner. Badge dimensions: 17x17mm.

Marked on the reverse “W.B”, “SILVER”.Władysław Buszek, a pre-war badge engraver in Lwów, goldsmith and producer of badges for the Polish Army. After the invasion of Poland in 1939, he escaped to England where he resumed the production of badges for the Polish army and patriotic jewelry. A very rare and historic item of beautiful quality.  A rare pair of collar “Wojtek” 22nd Artillery Supply Company Insignia famous for its bear soldier “Wojtek”.Badges in the form of a driving wheel, with a bear holding an artillery shell, green enamel background. Smooth reverse with the maker “Pagani SPA, Milano”, above the mark a threaded post and a spinner. All badges are with the original spinners and washers.  One of the most iconic units of the 2nd Polish Corps. A beautiful, hard to find group. Wojtek accompanied the 2nd Polish Corps through the Italian Campaign, serving with the 22nd Artillery Supply Company. During the Battle of Monte Cassino, in Italy in 1944, Wojtek helped move crates of ammunition and became a celebrity with visiting Allied generals and statesmen. After the war, once the Polish army was disbanded Wojtek lived out the rest of his life at the Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland. The 22nd Supply Company is most famous for its bear soldier “Wojtek” which became the symbol of the company and the legend of the Polish Army in Exile. Size 20mm

Polish Book "Under the Banner of the Homeland" by Zygmunt Jan Tyszel with a interesting dedictation from the author (Zygmunt Jan Tyszel) for General Józef Zająć, former commander of the 3rd Infantry Regiment of the Polish Legions. Zygmunt Jan Tyszel was a former soldier of the unit. Dedication dated October 7, 1930. General condition as seen in the photos.Zygmunt Jan Tyszel belonged to the Piłsudski Legions from 1916, he fought in the defense of Lwów in 1918-1919 (Lwów Eaglets), in 1920 in the ranks of the Polish army he defended Poland against the Bolshevik troops, he participated in the third Silesian Uprising (1921), after the Germany Invasion in 1939, he took up underground activities, was caught and shot by the Gestapo in Palmiry in 1941. In the interwar period, he wrote three books on patriotic topics: "Under the Banner of the Homeland" (1930), Igraszki Lwowskie. A novel from the time of the defense of Lwów (under the pseudonym Jan Zygma, 1932), Piłsudski (1939).”

The regiment did not have a badge made during its existence, so the veterans of the unit decided to make such a badge in the post-war years.A badge in the form of a shield, bay leaves on the sides. In the lower part, a yellow-green sash wrapped around the shield of the British 8th Army, with the inscription “1942 7th Regiment of the Polish Army, 1947”. A tank in the background of the pyramids and in the crescent the countries through which the unit “Iraq, Egypt, Italy” passed, white and red colors in the background.Size 33,5 mm x 19 mm

 A rare set of collar pennants of the 22nd Artillery Supply Company, famous for its bear soldier "Wojtek". Badges in the form of triangles in green and orange, which are the colors of the unit. The signs have a smooth reverse. They are made of celluloid. Both pennants have visible holes in the corners, making it easier to attach them to the uniform. One of the most recognizable units of the 2nd Polish Corps. Wojtek accompanied the 2nd Polish Corps during the Italian campaign, serving in the 22nd Artillery Supply Company. During the Battle of Monte Cassino in Italy in 1944, Wojtek helped carry ammunition crates and became a celebrity visiting Allied generals and statesmen. After the war, after the Polish army was disbanded, Wojtek spent the rest of his life at the Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland. The 22nd Artillery Supply Company is best known for its mascot, the bear soldier "Wojtek", which has become a company symbol and a legend of the Polish Army in the West. Size 45mm x 22mm.

Interesting grouping after sgt. Antoni Pniewski, born in 23.3.1898 in Pniew, in Ciechanów Mazowiecki county. Was a son of Stanisław and Paulina Pniewscy. Before the war he was a soldier in a rank of a levy in mass platoon leader in 32nd Infantry Regiment (Modlin) of Polish Army. During the Second World War, he joined Polish Armed Forces in the USSR. Later, with the 2nd Polish Corps, he went to Italy, for which he was awarded with British Star for Italy. Also he was awarded for outstanding duty with the Bronze Cross of Merit with Swords on 25nd August 1947.
