WWII WIRELESS SET. A WWII wireless set No.19, developed by Pye in 1940. The sets were used by the British Army up to the early 1950s & by Canadian Divisions during WWII. Eventually, they were also produced by a number of different manufacturers in Canada & the USA. Many Mark II versions were made for the 'Lend-lease' programme for which much military material was sent to Russia to help them combat the Nazis. Consequently, many of the No.19 sets have dual English & Russian legends on the panel, as does this one. 44x20x25cm. (Being sold with information on this wireless & photocopies of the circuit notes for this wireless).
