Power-mad snake cult leader Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones) commanded an army of minions from the Mountain of Power, his primary temple built into the side of a rock formation.Created by and distributed amongst the film's art and production design teams, these blueprints depict four components of the temple: its distinctive columns, steps, all-seeing eye altars, and upper spires. Each is printed with Spanish and Italian annotations on drafting paper branded "Conan" and features the Dino De Laurentiis Corporation copyright alongside that blueprint's number and title. Two blueprints feature the initials of art director Benjamin Fernandez, while the others are dated "80" and initialed by artist "JM." The set exhibits fold lines and creasing throughout as well as some discoloration from age. M*A*S*H (1972-1983) - Star Beer Can - A Star Beer can from Larry Gelbart's M*A*S*H. Staff at the Mobile Army Surgical Hospital, aka MASH, drank cans of the fictional Star Beer throughout the beloved series. In 1983, a Star Beer can was added to the Smithsonian Institute's National Museum of American History.On October 9, 1982, a brush fire destroyed much of the show's outdoor sets, props, and costumes. As a result, surviving Star Beer cans in private hands are extremely scarce. This empty aluminum can originated from a 20th Century Fox crew member. It is hand-painted with orange and gold stripes, black stars, and "Star Beer" on the front. The can exhibits two punctures at the top from production, and its sides exhibit grime and staining. Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie) fought Chen Lo (Simon Yam) amongst the Terracotta Army, resulting in many of the statues losing their heads.This lot consists of a detailed, headless fiberglass Terracotta Army statue body hand-painted in shades of brown to resemble terracotta, as well as three distinct mustachioed fiberglass heads painted in matching shades. The body exhibits fractures throughout the fiberglass, and its right hand, which exhibits green paint stains from production, is coming loose. The lot should be handled with caution. Crowe wore his costume while hunting Max Da Costa (Matt Damon) along with his fellow mercenaries.This costume consists of a light blue zip-up jacket with cut off sleeves; a black webbed foam, rubber, and plastic chest armor with red and black wires and compartments designed by Weta Workshop; a black cotton tank top from Jockey (size L); black and beige fingerless gloves; light blue pants; black knee and shin guards; and black lace-up army boots from Danner size UK 10. The tank top is handmarked on the interior with "11" and the leg guards are handmarked with "Hero L" and "Hero R." The jacket features an interior tag on the shoulder with a very faint and illegible "Crowe" handwritten on it. Production intentionally distressed this costume to appear dirty and well-worn. PLANET OF THE APES (1968) - Metal Ape Army Rifle - A metal ape army rifle from Franklin J. Schaffner's Planet of the Apes. Ape soldiers wielded their standard-issue rifles to maintain their dominance over Earth in the distant future.Based on World War II-era M1 carbines, this rifle consists of a two-piece metal shell painted brown to appear wooden around real firearm mechanisms that have had a barrel detail welded onto the base gun and deactivated; a loose slide, trigger, and an ejectable magazine, all painted black; and a brown leather strap with metal buckles. This weapon also features a retractable metal bayonet with the slide located beneath the barrel. The shell and strap are intentionally distressed by production to appear battle-used with scratches and grime applied throughout. The paint exhibits flaking, exposing metal components, and the bolts securing the shell's pieces were cut after production. After a demotion, Major William Cage (Tom Cruise) was sent to a battlefield with a unit of EXO suit-clad soldiers to fight an army of invading aliens. This dark gray resin helmet features a camouflage pattern cloth covering with an American flag patch and foam inner padding and nylon straps. It features a pair of handwritten names on the interior, including one for the film's stunt performer, Domonkos Pardanyi.
