Verschnittene Schäftung aus Nussbaumholz mit Rankendekor mit Nase aus dunklem Horn. Auf der Wange eingelegte, gravierte Perlmutteinlage mit Bandwerk aus Bein, der hölzerne Kolbenkastendeckel ergänzt. Reich gravierte Messing-Garnitur, auf der Schlossgegenplatte Darstellung von Hund und Hase. Der Abzugsbügel etwas verbogen. Ergänzter, eiserner Ladestock mit Horndopper. On the cheek rest engraved mother-of-pearl inlay with scrollwork of bone, the wooden patch-box lid replaced. Richly engraved brass furniture, the side plate with depiction of dog and hare. Trigger guard somewhat bent. Replaced, iron ramrod with horn tip. Matching iron wheellock key. Length 118 cm.High-quality wheellock rifle in beautiful, original condition. Frame, barrel and grip with nice floral engraving, probably factory engraving. Ivory grip. Mechanically sound. Army and Navy shotgun cartridge magazine, canvas and leather construction with three compartments, initialled F.W., the inside with makers name.25cm wide Condition report: The Army and Navy magazine is in good general shape but has had a well made replacement leather strap, there are also replacement leather tongues to the insides. The magazine is structurally sound and most of the stitching is intact. There are small patches or wear and faults to the leather edging but nothing major and a good polish would make these look a lot better. The canvas covering has staining and wear from use.
