S.B.A. R.N.), officially impressed, bar-mounted for wearing; together with an Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal to W.O. 1st Class C. Bowie, Royal Army Medical Corps, 1937-48, with `Regular Army` fixed suspension bar (7256098 W.O. Cl. 1 C. Bowie. R.A.M.C.), officially impressed, unmounted; and a Defence Medal, unnamed as issued. Note: It is unknown whether these medals were awarded to the same individual, who served in the Royal Navy during the First World War and then transferred to the army prior to the Second World War, or whether they were awarded to related members of the same family.
A GREAT WAR MEMORIAL PLAQUE TO PRIVATE SYDNEY BROMILEY, ARMY SERVICE CORPS (Sydney Bromiley), framed and glazed. Note: M2/098032 Private Sydney Bromiley, 605th Motor Transport Company, Army Service Corps, the son of William Isherwood Bromiley, of Beech Hurst, 194 Chorley New Road, Bolton (Lancashire), died on 8th January 1916. He has no known grave, and is remembered with honour at the Hollybrook Memorial, Southampton. Given the location of his memorial there is a strong possibility that Private Bromiley lost his life on a transport or other vessel that was torpedoed or mined in home waters.

Full Hulton National weekly complete magazine^ 28pp with numerous article and full of illustrations.
India and the Punjab – Sikh War medal. An unusual and small medal Punjab medal. The obverse reads: To The Army of the Punjab MDCCCXLIX (1849)^ the reverse reads: Punjab Campaign Medal 1848-1849. The Second Sikh war fought between the East India Company and the Kingdom of Lahore in 1848-49 which the British being victorious and annexing the Punjab to British India.
Exceptionally scarce Sikh War Poster 1846 contrasting Ranjit Singh with Napolean – rare and early large 1st Sikh war poster published in 1846. Titled ‘`Waterloo compared with the four battles of the campaign between the British Army in India and the Seikh army of the Late Runjeet Singh’. The poster refers to the Sikhs as the best Asiatic army the British had ever faced. The 1st Sikh war and the battle of Waterloo are compared^ number of casualties in each war etc. The first Sikh war was a hard fought war between the British and Sikhs^ however due to the treacherous Sikh generals^ the British were victorious. The British had gained the upmost respect for the Sikhs^ they were later drafted into the British army in large numbers after the 2nd Sikh war in 1849^ and they served loyally until Independence in 1947. Dimension - Single sheet broadside^ 13in x 17.5in.^ London: Printed for and by W. R. Goodluck^ Prince’s Square^ Kennington. Original price for four pence. The only other copy in existence we can trace is in the Devon Heritage centre collection part of the Waterloo collection (Ref P&D000304)^ they date this poster to 1846.
