Some wear to the gilding notably around the text. A CADINEN MAJOLICA PLATE CIRCA 1910, Prussian pottery ware from Cadinen (West Prussia) now Kadyny, Poland. From the inventory of Paul Heydel. 33cm across The Cadinen pottery factory was owned by Kaiser Wilhelm II and set up in the gardens of the Royal Summer Palace around 1905. The pottery lost its Königliche prefix, due to the abdication in 1918. It closed in 1944, due to the Russian Red Army advance and mass expulsions of the German speaking population. **Please note this lot will be available for collection at an offsite location near Wimbledon at KT2 7AL**

Complete with original ribbons, Soldiers Release Book class A, brass Surrey Regt shoulder title, etc. Pte Why served as a Rifleman in the 1st Battalion Surrey Regt from 1940 until July 1944 when he transfered to the ACC while still serving with the Btl. Demobbed in June 1946.
