THREE EARLY 20TH CENTURY ALBUMS, one inscribed Harry Hemsly, May 1920 to January 1924, the first containing photographs of British Indian Army life in Kashmir, Bombay and other districts, holidays in Perthshire and trips to Ceylon and Burma, the other two albums with similar subjects and views of Egypt, the Holy Land and East Africa (Est. plus 24% premium inc. VAT)Condition Report: All three albums in worn condition.
Rare surviving WW1 British Old Contemptibles Association Standard for the Blackburn and District Branch. Complete with it original two part construction pole, brass banner top and yellow tassels. Emblazened with "King, God, Country" along with the Assciation badge and "Blackburn & District Branch". The banner measures 107cm x 128cm to include the fringe. Overall height of the pole and banner top 247cm.The Old Contemptibles’ Association was formed in 1925 by Captain John Patrick Danny and its members were survivors of the First Expeditionary Force which served in France and Flanders between 5th August and 22nd November 1914. Its commander was Field Marshal Sir John French. The term “The Old Contemptibles” is said to come from a dismissive reference by the Kaiser to “that Contemptible Little Army.” The Association was created to maintain the camaraderie of the “Contemptible Little Army” and to offer its members support for matters such as finance, health, and unemployment. The Association’s members were known as “Chums”. Nationaly, the Association began to disband in the 1970's with the last branch closing in London in 1994.

WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Military Police Armband from 1945 when Japanese MP's from the Kempeitai were used alongside Allied MP's to keep order in newly liberated countries. Screen printed in red ink with "MP" over Japanese Kanji onto white a linen band with a white silk backing. Four eyelets to allow a string for adjustment to the arm. Size 350mm x 145mm. No date or makers mark.

WW2 Third Reich Heer Offizierheim Bergen Stainless Steel Alloy Serving Plate. 295mm in diameter. Maker marked "WMF Cromargan". The Army Officers Mess was situated 1.5km's from Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp. The building was used by the British Army as a Hospital for victims from the camp. The plate was a war souvenir of a member of 63rd Anti Tank Regt Royal Artillery who's unit was one of the first to reach the camp. New to the market.
