A Significant and Extensive Archive of WWII and Later Items, relating to 2079397 Sapper William Edward Kidd, Royal Engineers including group of six medals comprising War Medal, Defence Medal, Africa Star, Italy Star, 1939-45 Star, Territorial Medal, badges, photographs, wartime paperwork, German wartime 'Trophies' including medals, badge, bayonet, among many other associated items. A lot worthy of full inspection. A Sheffield Man William Kidd was born in 1921, enlisting into the Army on 15th May 1939 aged 17, seeing service in various theatres throughout the war he was transferred onto the reserve in April 1946 with savings of £80 - 11 shillings. He went on in civilian life to work as a motor mechanic, dying in 1994.
