Britain set No. 1448 Army Staff Car, 1936 version containing: a dark khaki green Staff Car with white rubber tyres, playworn, a silvered radiator and windscreen, detached, a driver in peaked cap with raised hand and seated staff officer, the head removable, the car and figures in a playworn condition, all contained within original illustrated box, as found.

A late 19th /early 20th century German Army dress sword by Ruhr & Speyer, Berlin:, the curved blade with acid etched decoration over hilt with double langets and single quillon, single guard and wire bound fish skin grip with backstrap, in a gilt brass mounted black leather scabbard, blade length, 80cm.
A Third Reich period German Army dagger by WKC, Solingen:, the straight double edged blade signed as per title to ricasso with eagle and swastika hilt, ribbed celluloid grip with oak leaf decorated ferrule and pommel, together with stipple pattern scabbard with oak leaf decorated suspension loops and double strap belt with lanyard, 26cm blade length.

λ A LARGE CHINESE IMPERIAL CARNELIAN-AGATE 'POMEGRANATE' DOUBLE VASE AND STAND QIANLONG 1736-95 Boldly carved with a fruiting branch of pomegranates picked out in reddish orange and with a smaller branch of peaches to the reverse. The double vase formed as sections of pine with lingzhi and bamboo issuing from the base, the green-stained ivory stand is carved with pine branches amongst rocks, 19cm overall. (2) Provenance: Arthur Wellesley Gosset (b.1837), and then a French private collection. Arthur Wellesley Gosset is recorded in The London Gazette upon entry into the British Army, 'Gent., to be Ensign, by purchase, vice Mulock. Dated 24th October 1856'. Cf. L Yang, Translucent World, Chinese Jade from the Forbidden City, p.190-191. no.129 for a related vase.

Qty of uniforms belonged to Colonel Kenneth G Willstead, RA. He joined the army at the start of WWII as part of Hore-Belishia's Militia. He was sent to France with the British Expeditionary Force, being evacuated at Dunkirk. He finished the war serving in India. After the war, Col. Willstead mostly alternated regimental posts with technical posts; serving in Malaya during the time of the insurrection when he was mentioned in Dispatches. He was British Liaison Officer at White Sands Missile Range in the USA at the time of the Cuba Crisis and the assassination of John Kennedy. On retirement, in 1973, he took up a post of University Liaison Officer for universities in the North of England and Scotland. PLEASE ALWAYS CHECK CONDITION PRIOR TO BIDDING
