We know of only one copy previously at auction. Subjects include the attack on Pearl Harbour Lieutenant-General Arthur Percival`s meeting with General Yamashita at the surrender of Singapore the Japanese army engaged in river crossings and the bombing of Rangoon.

Cromwell, the New Model Army and Parliament - pamphlet. `The Humble Remonstrance of the Commission Officers and Private Soldiers of Major General Goffs Regiment (so called) of Foot, Presented to his Excellency the Lord Fleetwood, London: 1659`, title and 6pp, 18 x 13.5cm, somewhat age toned, unboundNote: After Penruddock`s Uprising in 1655, William Goffe was appointed Major-General for Berkshire, Hampshire and Sussex. He was named to Cromwell`s Upper House, and remained a loyal supporter until the Protector`s death. Goffe transferred his loyalty to Richard Cromwell in 1658 and is said to have advised him to use military force to resist Fleetwood and Disbrowe. Charles Fleetwood was Cromwell`s son in law and was supported, after Cromwell`s death and when Richard Cromwell had assumed leadership, by officers eager to restore the republican Commonwealth. In April 1659, Fleetwood successfully challenged Richard`s authority over the army and forced him to dissolve the Third Protectorate Parliament. However, he was forced from office in 1659/1660, at the Restoration, and retired from public life.

Gwilym Pritchard (1931-), "Seine near Laudebec", signed, watercolour, 26.5 x 37cm.; 10.5 x 14.5in. * Studied at Normal, Bangor and Birmingham College of Art, 1960 -64. Held several teaching posts, settling at Anglesey, an area of key importance to his painting. Decided to become a full time artist in 1973, commissioned work including some for the British Army in Belfast. Pritchard was a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy, also exhibiting with the Royal Eisteddfod, Welsh Arts Council, Society for Education in Art and North Wales Group. Had regular solo shows, starting with Howard Roberts Gallery, Cardiff in 1961, other venues including New Art Centre and Heal`s Mansard Gallery. St. Michael`s Church, Ruabon, Clwyd has a mosaic by Pritchard, whose work is in many public collections, including University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, Welsh Arts Council and Contemporary Art Society for Wales.
