Pigott, C.B, D.S.O, 21st Hussars / Lancers, includes images of the training of Elephants to get onto a train, Mysore Races, Palaces and natives Charles Pigott served in the British Army, joining the 21st Lancers in 1883. he served in the Zulu campaign and Transvaal. between 1891 and 1892 he was seconded to the Maharaja of Mysore to shoot rouge elephants and capture young elephants which would be trained and used for transportation and haulage. This lot includes copies of his letters home.
