Original vintage advertising poster Uniforms of the French Army of 1939 (Les Uniformes de l'Armee Francaise Guerre De 1939). Images showing uniforms of France, Morocco, Zuave, Foreign Legion and Colonial Troops. The Zouaves were a class of light infantry regiments of the French Army serving between 1830 and 1962 and linked to French North Africa, as well as some units of other countries modelled upon them. The zouaves, along with the indigenous Tirailleurs Algeriens, were among the most decorated units of the French Army. The French Foreign Legion (French: Legion etrangere) is a military service branch of the French Army established in 1831. Legionnaires are highly trained infantry soldiers and the Legion is unique in that it was, and continues to be, open to foreign recruits willing to serve in the French Armed Forces. Folded, small tears on folds. Good condition, Country: France. Year: 1940. Designer: Unknown. Size (cm): 35 x 52.5.
