A George IV silver gilt trophy cup with cover by Richard Sibley, London 1820, the campana shape raised from a circular fluted foot with a knop to the stem with broad bead and tongue and dart decoration, the lower body embossed with acanthus and scrolling flowers incorporating two foliate mask based handles, the upper body with fruiting vine decoration below a beaded tongue and dart rim, the contemporary cover, by another unknown hand, marks rubbed or removed, fluted below an acanthus decorated bud finial, inscribed on one side of the cup "Goodwood Cup" and on the other side "Goodwood 1955", 49cm high, 167oz
