A Minton Majolica Pottery Lidded Jug, the shell form cover with Britannia metal mounts, with court jester finial, the entwined branch naturalistic handle continuing around the upper frieze, the main frieze with four Medieval figures dancing around a castle wall, over a conforming basal rustic twig band, impressed Mintons, shape number 1231, date cipher for 1877, {32.5cm high} (thumb piece restored, several slight hairlines running from rim, only visible internally)
