A large collection of ceramic and glass chemist's jars bearing labels / inscriptions to include "Sem. Plantg. Ps.", "Tintura de Arnica", "Bayas Arrayan", "Hoja de Muerdago", etc, together with a small collection of herb jars, some with lids (23) CONDITION REPORTS One finial/knob broken off and badly reglued. There is wear to all the gilding and wear to decoration. There is some age to items - some appear to be Victorian, others early 20th Century and later. A couple bear a paper Christies label dated 27 November 1985 and numbered "14/30". Discolouration and staining and crazing throughout. All dirty, have scratches, hairline cracks and some chipping, especially to internal rims. The jar inscribed Acibab has been heavily restored all over.
A 19th Century rosewood and ivory inlaid box with hinged lid, opening to reveal various 19th Century stained and turned ivory chess pieces, etc CONDITION REPORTS Both sets are incomplete with a large quantity of various pieces missing e.g no red pawns at all etc. Box has cracks and splits, particularly to top, dirt and some marks to the varnish, surface scratches. Chess set - red Knight is missing one ear, the other has several chips to the rims of eyes and a scratch to body. The castle (rook) base is warped and there is a crack to the crenelation. The white knight has a crack. The white king has several chips. White queen has chip to top near finial and chips missing from mount. The other set is also incomplete. Queen is missing her finial, the rooks have holes in the top and may have fitments missing, and one has a large split. All items are dirty and in need of a clean, surface scratches, chips, some bases are loose, general wear and tear.

Small saucer has several chips to edge, hairline crack, wear to enamel, firing faults, some discolouration. Bowl and cover - lid finial is rough, some chips to outside rims, wear to enamel. Bowl with liner has several hairline cracks, various firing faults, scratches. Bowl with cover decorated with ladies - has chips to edges, losses to enamel and gilding, firing faults. Tea caddy has general wear. Rectangular box has various firing faults, chips to corner, scratches, dirt and discolouration. Pair of modern vases have general wear and tear and crazing to paint work. All wooden stands have wear and tear.
A 19th century French gilt brass and champlevé enamel decorated four glass eight day mantel clock, the circular enamel dial set with Arabic numerals and decorated with floral garlands, the movement stamped Japy Frères, also stamped "Rollin a Paris", no.949, with domed top surmounted by an urn with pine cone finial, on four acanthus pilasters with Corinthian capitals, with similarly decorated mercury pendulum, on pedestal base and four bracket feet, height 40cm including finial. CONDITION REPORT: Key is present. Has been cleaned and re-polished professionally.
A rare Doulton Lambeth Silicon "Isobath", the domed lid with small hole to the finial above bands of relief moulding and side shaped aperture for the ink, the base with impressed marks and stamped "Patd Reserved Ir.Inkstand.London, The Isobath Thos.De.La.Rue & Co", height 15cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a tiny chip to the rim of the lid and a 5mm x 1mm thin slither chip to the lower section, some ink staining around the reservoir, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration. The top appears fixed to the body and no attempt has been made to move it.
A Doulton Lambeth Silicon relief moulded water filter, the possibly associated top above band of relief decoration depicting Classical figures in an Arcadian landscape with front tap and spreading circular base, impressed marks, height 24cm. CONDITION REPORT: As described, the top is possibly a replacement and the finial of the lid appears to be restored. There are a couple of tiny chips to the rim of the lid, also a couple of tiny chips to the upper rim of the main body. Some stained cracks to the relief decoration and one small area of loss. Otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A Doulton Lambeth Silicon relief decorated water filter, the lift off cover with raised finial above main body set with band of stylised daisies and with relief moulded tap and spreading circular foot, impressed marks to base, height 36cm. CONDITION REPORT: A couple of tiny slither rim chips to the cover, a 2cm x 4mm chip to rim, two further 1cm x 3mm chips to rim, and a tiny further chip to rim. Sadly some of the relief decoration to the daisies leaves is missing. Some surface scratches to the foot rim.
A Doulton Lambeth Silicon relief decorated water filter, the domed cover with simple knopped finial above bands of relief decoration with a brass tap and spreading foot, impressed marks to base, height 40.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: The top of the main body is slightly irregular in shape therefore the lid does not quite sit flush. There are six or seven areas of missing relief to the main body. There are three small chips to the rim of the main body. Otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A Doulton Lambeth Silicon relief moulded cheese dome and stand by Florence Bowditch, impressed marks to both sections, height 24cm, and a Doulton Lambeth Silicon relief moulded vase and cover, impressed marks to base, no.1882, height 27.5cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: The finial of the cheese dome cover appears to be coming away form the body creating a stress fracture where it meets the main body. A small 1cm x 3mm chip to inner foot rim of base. The jar and cover: the finial has been broken and crudely glued. Otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A Royal Worcester miniature teapot, hand painted with fruit by Harry Ayrton, with blue printed marks, length 9.5cm, a fruit decorated bowl by Ayrton with gilded interior, with puce printed marks, diameter 10.2cm, and a miniature sparrow beak fruit decorated jug, with black printed marks, length 5.5cm (3). CONDITION REPORT: Tiny area of rubbing to gilt on rim of jug. Areas of flaking of paint on the main picture. Surface wear to inside of bowl (minor scratches) and odd tiny flakes to the outside. Rubbing to gilt on the finial of the teapot an similar wear to the rest.

CONDITION REPORT: Overall in good condition. Just some losses to encrusted flower head finial.
A quantity of early 20th century English porcelain teaware to include Coalport, Phoenix bone china, Forester's and Belleek, also a Continental floral decorated comport and a Capodimonte campana shaped urn and cover, moulded with mythological scenes and with cherubic finial. CONDITION REPORT: Generally good condition with some rubbing to gilt and flaking to paint, one rectangular plate af (chips and cracks), also with staining. Also, the comport and two dinner plates are stained, all commensurate with age.
A Japanese Meiji period carved ivory scent bottle modelled as a fruit with husks, with screw cap, height 6cm including finial (af). CONDITION REPORT: The tip of the finial has a small loss, small areas of minor staining particularly underneath the screw cap and to the base. It appears that the bottom part of the bottle is sectional.
A late Victorian hallmarked silver hot water jug of tapering form with domed hinged lid and cast finial, with scroll decorated wooden handle, Thomas Bradbury & Sons, London 1898, height 18.5cm, approx 11.1ozt. CONDITION REPORT: There are a few tiny areas with one larger dints to the body, also areas of tarnish, Hallmarks are slightly rubbed but still legible.
