A CHINESE PALE CELADON JADE VASE AND COVER QING DYNASTY The flattened pear-shaped body carved in shallow relief to each side with a scholar beneath a tree with an attendant, one holding a duck, with animal mask loose-ring handles divided by a band of stylised rocks to the neck, the finial formed as a sinuous dragon, together with an archaistic two-handled celadon jade cup, carved in relief with studs and stylised dragons' heads, each raised on a hardwood stand, 18.9cm max. A LARGE CHINESE CELADON JADE EWER AND COVER QIANLONG 1736-95 The baluster-shaped body raised on a double lotus foot, the handle formed as a ribbon-tied bunch of lotus, with flower stems and leaves extending around the body, a small bird perched on a seed pod to one side. The spout formed from a curled leaf, the neck with a band of spiral roundels dividing the handles, another bird forming the cover's finial, all raised on an openwork hardwood stand carved with millet and lotus, 26cm. (3) Cf. Compendium of Collections in the Palace Museum, Jade 10, Qing Dynasty, p.66, no.39 for a related vase and cover.

A CHINESE SILVER-WIRE INLAID BRONZE INCENSE BURNER QING DYNASTY The compressed ovoid body with two lug handles and raised on a short flared foot, inlaid with silver wire depicting archaistic taotie designs, cloud scrolls and key fret above a band of stylised dragons, the base with a six character Xuande mark dividing a two character shi sou mark, with a carved hardwood ruyi stand and cover, the cover with a pale celadon jade finial carved as a fish, 19.8cm.
