The impressive case surmounted by a squat urn with berry finial and floral swags over canted pilasters joined by heavy oak leaf swags on a break-front reeded base with Vitruvian scroll panels. The signed 5 inch white enamel dial with black Roman and Arabic numerals with finely pierced and engraved gilt hands, with off-set winding squares. A good late 18th century brass inlaid mahogany six-tune musical table clockDe la Salle, Cannon Street, LondonSurmounted by a tapering finial on a stepped brass-bound base framed by ball finials over canted front angles with oak-leaf decoration, silk-backed fish-scale sound frets and a moulded base on large ball feet. The arched silvered dial with twin subsidiary dials in the arch for date of the month and tune selection (comprising Money Musk; Jem of Aberdeen; Auld Robin Gray; The Lass of Patty's Mill; Mrs Stewart's Reel and New Highland Laddie), over Roman and Arabic chapters with matching hands framed by engraved sprigs of flowers. The substantial chain fusee movement with anchor escapement mounted on the backplate rack striking the hours on a bell and playing the desired tune on 12 hammers and bells every three hours at 12, 3, 6 and 9. Ticking, striking and playing music. 62cms (2ft) high. A good late 19th century French gilt brass and polychrome enamel clock garnitureLe Roy et Fils, ParisThe clock case with urn finial over flaming torches emanating from addorsed dolphins heads on a break-front base centred by a seated Cupid, the glazed front panel revealing the polychrome enamel-decorated backplate and pendulum bob. The dial with Roman cartouche numerals in gilt reserves on a light blue ground. The signed twin barrel movement with Brocot-type suspension and rack strike on a bell. Together with a pair of similar twin-handle tall urns with berry finals and shaped bases. (3). Will tick and strike. A very rare late 17th century provincial Lancashire lantern clock. Together with a later floorstanding case.Henry WebsterThe bell surmounted by a turned finial set on typical curved iron arms mounted internally within the bell to the four corner finials, pierced frets (the front engraved with hatching and wavy lines, over four integral pillars to ball feet. (side doors and rear panel probably replaced). The Roman dial with outer line border framing the large fleur-de -lyse half hour marks, inner quarter hour band and single hand, signed to the centre below XII Henry Webster, Fecit over three large flowerheads emanating from a twin-handled vase at VI. The weight driven two-train movement with anchor escapement (the back cock in the form of an inverted heart), with countwheel striking on the bell. Untested but will tick and strike when power applied. Together with a weight, a pendulum and a custom-made quarter-sawn oak floor-standing case. The clock 37cms (14.75ins) high. A pair of Chinese brass koros and covers each with Dog of Fo, together with three further examples, largest 25cm.Condition Report: The medium size round koro is 12cm high, the rectangular koro is 13cm high. Tail lacking to the dog finial on the rectangular cover. All in need of a polish, some surface tarnishing and wear. No seal marks to any. Repair to two legs of the large koro where they meet the body.
A collection of Oriental items including two Chinese Famille Verte porcelain stands, and similar teapot, a Chinese blue and white lidded bowl and two archaic type bowls.Condition Report: Lighter coloured large dish crazed throughout anda with hair line crack. Other large dish with crazing, surface wear and several hair line cracks. Blue and white lidded bowl with large star crack to the base, other smaller cracks coming from this and cracks to the main body. Small nicks to the lug handles. Cover with a small hair line crack at rim, small star crack and wear to glaze to the rim. Small chip to dog finial. Teapot with imperfections to glaze and surface wear to glaze adn enamels. Two stands with general light surface wear and rubbing to gilding. Drawers with some sun fading.
