George III silver teapot, the fluted compressed oval body engraved with a band of acorns, flowers and hops, by Thomas Wallis II, London 1808, 19.3 oz (601 gm) gross weight, 14 cm high Marks clear. Finial loose and insulator cracked (later). Surface marks, scratches and wear consistent with age and use.
Japanese silver coffee pot, in the form of a gourd with bamboo handle, signed on the body, 25.5oz (792 gm), 20 cm high Provenance: by family descentLuke Edward Wright, became full Governor-General of the Philippines in 1904 and continued in that office until 1906. From 1906 to 1907, he served as the first full United States Ambassador to Japan, and from July 1, 1908 to March 1, 1909, he served as United States Secretary of War under President Theodore Roosevelt. Some patches where the base has come through the silver (visible in the main image for example lower right by base of handle). Patches of solder repair including to top near the rim. Some leaves appear flattened or bruised, including to the finial. Surface marks, scratches and wear consistent with age and use.

Cover - two small flat chips under the rim, not normally visible. Jug- wear to gilding on handle but undamaged. Slop basin - interior flower painting rubbed. Sucrier - finial resecured into position with metal pin. The other items in good condition but with general light wear that does little to detract from the opulent, rich decoration of this service
A MEISSEN GROUP OF THE TEST OF LOVE, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH C after the model by M V Acier, on oval gilt base, 24cm h, impressed 147, incised E71, underglaze blue crossed swords Small old restoration to flowers held in man's upraised right hand, slight chipping of some of the encrusted flowers and leaves. Tiny chip to finial of urn, urn broken off socle and neatly restuck. Three flat chips on lower edge of base, no other damage or restoration detected

AN OAK THIRTY HOUR LONGCASE CLOCK, JOHN BOOT, SUTTON [IN] ASHFIELD EARLY 18TH C the square brass 'cartwheel' dial with stylised foliage on a matted ground, silvered date dial with flowers and arches to the matted centre, silvered date sector with indicator and ringed winding squares, within signed silvered chapter ring and finely fettled steel hands, mask spandrels, the movement with typical arched cut out at the base of both plates, in a oak and quarter saw oak case crossbanded in pollard oak and inlaid to the trunk door with a star, the hood having ogee pediment and moulded cornice, 199cm h excluding finial John Boot (1705-1767), clockmaker Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. An almost identical dial by John Boot was in the Michael Grange gift to the British Museum (BN Registration No 2010, 8029, 103). Mr Grange is on record (Antiquarian Horology December 2015, p 497 that in his view the dial was "the most startling decorative dial in the collection". Good condition
FOOTBALL INTEREST. A BARGEWARE TEAPOT AND COVER, DATED 1902 sprigged with birds, baskets of flowers and rosettes, impressed on a banner in printer's type DENNIS ALLSOP NOTTS FOREST GOALKEEPER PORTLAND ARMS PEAR TREE DERBY 1902Derby born Dennis Allsop's playing career as Foret's goalkeeper lasted from the 1892 season to 1899. He later played for Derby Junction FC. In the 1901 Census he is listed as the publican of the Portland Arms Hotel, where he lived with his wife Mary, young son and daughter and Mrs Allsop's sister Old filled chip on tip of spout. On the cover a chip under the rim and the teapot shaped finial with old repair to spout. No significant damage and no recent restortion
