A selection of WW1 and earlier German pickelhaube spare parts. To include 4 helmet plates, one in silver plated brass, and another with the screw holes for attaching to a helmet (1860 pattern). Plus 3 brass spikes (one seemingly ground dug, with heavy verdigris finish), and another example in steel. And 3 spike or ball finial bases (for attaching to crown of helmet). 11 items total. Condition: generally solid and useable. One of the helmet plates and spikes is heavily verdigris patinated. 2 of the 4 helmet plates are missing their screw posts The remaining spikes and plates show normal age and service wear, plus age related patination. 2 of the brass spikes are a little dented / crushed to the end, but still useable as part of a restoration project.
