A George III mahogany long case clock, the moulded scroll pediment applied with brass bosses, flanking a half reeded brass finial above a silvered dial, finely engraved with foliate scrolls and with subsidiary seconds and calendar dials, signed Chas Lunan, Aberdeen, 809 to a circular cartouche on the arch, flanked by brass capped reeded Corinthian columns, the arched waist panel door edged with boxwood and flanked by reeded quadrant pilasters, on a plain base with bracket feet, The two-train, 8 day, 5 pillar movement, striking on a bell. Nine Nepal ghurras wood, in varying designs, three with zoomorphic finials, 39cm the longest, and a Nepal staff finial, carved as a tower, on a stand. (11) Provenance Seward Kennedy, London. The ghurra has become a deeply symbolic object to the mountain people of Nepal. From the simple function of supporting the churn rod whilst making butter, the traditional rope has evolved into these small wooden sculptures with abstract geometric elements evoking the gods of the Hindu pantheon.

A 19thC cased silver plated samovar tea urn, the bulbous body with upper garland handles raised with further garlands and flowers and surmounted by an acorn finial lid, with inner liner and outer beadwork decoration fronted by an articulated tap on a shell and scroll base terminating in hairy paw feet, 60cm high with fitted oak case.

A George III silver sauce cruet by Richard Mills, London, 1766, the cinquefoil frame pierced with scrollwork, gadroon rim, on four ball and claw feet, spiral-twist stem with kidney-shaped grip, with three of the original five silver-mounted diamond-cut glass sauce bottles, each with a crescent-shaped sauce label, one only with maker's mark of Susanna Barker, circa 1790, the other two unmarked, incised respectively for "Kyan", "Lemon" and "Tarragon", 17 cm. high, weighable silver 186 gm.one bottle has broken neck and lead repair to finial, otherwise in good order, frame is fully marked to base and further marked within piercing of sides with maker and lion passant
Judaica:- a Victorian silver spice tower by Abraham Frakman, London, 1892, with hexagonal filigree body, plain steeple with ball finial, four of the original six small eagles at each corner, six bells dependent, Hebrew presentation inscription around rim of stepped pedestal foot, 26 cm. high, wt. 257 gm.Needs gentle straigtening as it leans slightly to one side, ball finial lacks pennant, two small eagles absent from top of body, filigree all present and intact.
An Indian silver three-piece teaset, unmarked except for an indistinct punch to teapot handle, probably Bombay, circa 1900, bellied oval with nicely-chased frieze depicting native lancers hunting lions, lions savaging cattle and antelope and men on foot and archers facing up to lions and hunting troupe of elephants, all on bun feet, the handles of milk jug and sugar bowl terminating in dragon heads and with gilt interiors, the teapot handle and spout terminating in an elephant head and capped by an ivory finial, handle with ivory insulators, teapot 26 cm. long, wt. 1395 gm.In very good condition, no bruises, good gauge, crisp chasing
A gilt bronze inkstand in the form of a water or drinks vendor wearing and ringing bells, an ornate reservoir on his back with hinged finial and banner lid to hold accessories, standing on a rocky shore before a bocage, a large raying shell in front for pens, cut glass wells with separate gilt bronze covers on the shore either side of the vendor, the latter removeable to reveal a compartment for wafers, stamps etc. 36x22x26cm. high. CR. Generally very good, no chips to wells, but one end of shell had crack across about 3cm. from the end.
