A PLAIN CONICAL ART DECO PERIOD TEAPOT with a swept ebony handle and acorn finial to the stepped and domed cover, apparently un-marked but the base with Contemporary engraved inscription 'Solid SIlver - Made By Catherine Banks at The Kendal Art School, 1930 - Art Master Mr M Bracken', 16cm high, 19.25ozs.
A WALNUT LONGCASE CLOCK the five pillar, eight day movement having ringed pillars and striking the hours on a bell, the 10½ inch brass dial with cast 'crown and cherub' spandrels to the corners, a matted centre with ringed winding holes, subsidiary seconds dial below XII o'clock, a raised chapter ring engraved with black Roman hour numerals, Arabic five minute numerals, decorative half hour engraving of the 'meeting arrow head' style and signed either side of VI o'clock 'John Sims, Alderbury', with decorative blued steel hands, the later walnut case having satinwood and ebonised crossbanding to the case and hood, the fluted columns to the hood surmounted by brass capitals and having blocks to the flat top with brass eagle and ball finials, height 225cm (inc. finial). * John Sims is recorded as working in Alderbury near Salisbury, Wiltshire prior to 1764.
A fine George III small vase-shaped tea urn on square base with ball feet and beaded borders, with bright-cut foliage swags and engraved crest and motto, reeded scroll tap with ivory spigot and reeded upright loop handles, domed cover with urn finial, the interior complete with heating bar fitment, fully marked, maker's mark overstruck, Edinburgh, 1784, 29cm high, the crest is that of Euen or Ewing.

A Side-by side Double Barrelled 22-bore Flintlock Sporting Gun by Joseph Manton. Serial No 1451. for 1800. 32" twist Damascus barrels breeches with gold lined stamps of Joseph Manton gold bouched touch holes stepped and bolted locks engraved with a stand of arms and feathered edges and engraved ‘Joseph Manton London’ gold lined waterproof pans pineapple finial to trigger guard half stocked with chequered wrist and engraved steel mounts complete with its brass tipped wood ramrod. Possibly a re-conversion. Pale brown finish to barrels showing twist pattern locks retaining some colour case-hardening. Note: Not recorded in ‘The Mantons: Gunmakers’ by Neal & Back or the supplement.
